TROND Bluetooth V4.2 Transmitter Receiver with Volume Control & Microphone (Latest CSR8675 Chipset), AptX HD for High Definition Audio, AptX Low Latency for TV or Gaming

I am using this in my car to stream music from my phone wirelessly through the AUX IN connector. This thing is pretty tiny, and easily tucks into my center console. Sound quality is worlds better than my previous BT adapter. The low latency is very nice, too, as there is no longer any lag between my pressing the skip track button and the music changing. I have it powered from a 12V USB adapter, so it turns wont run out of charge . My phone pairs automatically and reliably when the unit powers on, which was important for me since I use always listen to music or podcasts from my phone while in the car and having to manually pair every time would be a hassle. Seems a little slower to pair than my old adapter, but more than worth the trade off for better sound quality and elimination of lag.

This is a brilliant BT transceiver it works fine with my Sound Blaster E5 headphone amp with no issues and pairs instantly with good range with the ATPXLL codec. Audio is good, crisp and sharp with no stuttering or lags when within range. I'm also using this with an Avantree Audikast bluetooth transmitter to extend my range in doors with this unit pairing instantly to the Audikast unit with no issues as a receiver. I've tested the internal mic when connected to my Windows 10 tablet with no issues and with good clear crisp audio. This deffinatly has better audio than most similar units on the market but too small issues I've found firstly if the source volume is very quiet such as in parts of classical music, the audio may appear to cut out during extremely quiet passages so you just need to increase your source volume a little to compensate. Also, on some of my sources the volume is a tad quieter than when using other bluetooth transmitters I own so I'm not sure if its an impedance issuee or missmatch but the volume decrease is very negligible. Battery life is good as yet so its deffinatly a good device.

Very easy to pair clear full sound. For me it worked flawlessly for 3 months -then a small hitch when it wouldn't pair. I emailed the company (Etrond) and received an answer in under an hour. Bruce wrote this Firstly please try to reset the transmitter via the following steps: -Power off BT-DUO while it’s in the TX mode; -Wait for at least 3 seconds, switch to the RX mode and power on BT-DUO HD in the RX mode (Up till now, all the connections previously saved in the TX mode are deleted); -Then do the same and switch back to the TX mode - power off, wait and power on in TX mode. To reset BT-DUO HD in the TX mode has been completed; It now works flawlessly again. Many thanks to Etrond and in particular to Bruce

I use it connected to 3.5mm aux input in my car for wireless audio from my phone. I have the phone in a simple wireless charging cradle. It works brilliantly. The high quality Bluetooth audio is great quality as expected with no noticeable lag. I play streamed music and have Google Navigation voice directions both coming from my phone and I can't find any fault with how this works. The build quality of the unit is good and I'm using the supplied cables for USB power and audio with no problems.

Been trying to find a replacement for my Sony sbh20 as it's battery is now dead. Bought a cheaper version and the headphone socket broke after a month. This one is awesome, very sturdy, great clip, fantastic sound quality when paired with my S9+.

UPDATE 2 April 2018 - I've just discovered that my headphones aren't actually APTX-HD compliant and are in fact only APTX so this device is working perfectly! It can connect to my phone with APTX-HD I had high hopes for this little device and it works very well except for the fact that when it connects to my Sennheiser PXC-550 BT headphones it doesn't use the APTX-HD codec, only the standard APTX codec. These headphones can do APTX-HD as proven by the connection between them and my Google Pixel 2 XL I did email the TROND email address given with the device but no reply. I looked for a firmware update perhaps but couldn't find one either A little disappointed really so any suggestions would be gratefully received
