Envelopes are beautiful, the color is nicer in person! Deeper blue, elegant and the shine is very nice. We used a white ink which didn’t adhere to the envelope as nice as we hoped because of the shine. Ink can be wiped off with water and a bit of elbow grease. We used other means for the ink to stick. But these are pretty I do recommend

I am an avid letter writer, so I bought these to send letters and not invitations. I like the envelopes. They do have a nice feel and look. Great color with a pretty sheen. The adhesive sticks great. A major plus.The downside is that the sheen means you have to be careful with what ink is used on them. I used a fountain pen, and after several minutes of drying, the address still smeared. I tried a gel pen and the ink still smeared but was legible. Marker worked great. Definitely make sure to allow the address on the envelope time to dry to avoid smearing. (In fairness, the description does state something to that affect.)

These nice envelopes are a high-quality paper. They have a nice sheen to them to give a glowing look. They would work for any occasion, I used for a dinner party invite. They are easy to seal and feel smooth to the touch.

This is such a pretty pink color with a pearlescent sheen. As other buyers have noted, the slick finish can cause ink to smear. I tested several different pens with varied results. A fine line ballpoint pen with regular ink smeared the least, and an ultra-fine point marker had good results as well. Any pen using gel ink smeared horribly, as did my fountain pen. I found that when I took my time, was careful not to drag my hand over the still damp writing, and gave the envelopes time to dry completely before touching them, I had no smearing at all.

The images state that double sided tape is applied to envelopes, but that is not the case. Standard adhesive that you need to lick or wet is applied. Also the shimmer/gloss of the paper makes some pens hard to write with, had to use sharpie to label. And with the gloss our return address stamp took a very long time to dry and most ended up smeared.

The pearlescence on these are so pretty. It isn't a strong pearlescence, but it has a nice touch. It makes these look so fancy and special. It was nice to the touch too and did not feel rough. These are great for a wedding or bridal shower!
