Does this package have a recloseable metal spout?

There appears to be a recloseable spout; however, it doesn't appear to be metal. (Sorry, haven't actually opened yet.)

Why do the bags of softener salt have a proof of purchase seal on the back of bag ?

Probably because the government requires expiration dates on most things. Salt does NOT have an expiration date.

How can this salt have less sodium than other salt? Have the redesigned the molecules? An ounce of any sodium chloride will weigh the same.

You are correct that an ounce of this salt will weigh the same as an ounce of another salt. However very few cooks in the US measure salt by weight. They usually use recipes with volume measurements, such as teaspoons. A teaspoon of Crystal Diamond Kosher salt has less sodium than a teaspoon of table salt because it has less salt.

Does this product contain potassium chloride as well as sodium chloride?

The ingredient list on the box only lists "salt." However, in the nutrition facts, each 1/4 tsp contains 280 mg of Sodium and there is no mention of Potassium.
