Love this!
This is perfect for a condo. I have it beside the couch in living room and you don't even notice it. It is great while watching tv (i love this as you don't even notice the time flying by. An hour long show and done!

Good for an apartment
I like the stepper. I'm 5'4" 127 lbs and I find it easier to use if I have ankle weights and or dumbbells in my hands. For a lighter weight individual the resistance is stronger so you step more slowly. It's not too heavy so I can move it around the house. The hydraulic rods get a bit hot after awhile but it hasn't caused a problem for me. I just set up a fan in front of me to help keep it (and me) cool. Although the rods getting hot isn't really a problem. It definitely trains your balance because there is nothing to hang on to. It makes a light noise as you step but isn't loud. I use this in my apartment on the second story because I can't have a treadmill on the second story or my neighbors underneath me will complain, so this does the trick. I wish I could adjust the resistance to step faster but that's the only drawback I can find. I've only used it a few times so far but it seems like a quality product overall. I've noticed that my lower back and knees hurt lightly after using the stepper if I don't have a mirror in front of me. So it seems that if you're not using the correct posture and engaging your core then you could put a strain on your joints. Definitely recommend using this with a mirror.

exercices

Perfect for work
I bought this because I have a desk job and a long commute. I sit for 10 hours a day, and getting up to walk around the office is distracting to my coworkers. This is quiet, slides under my desk, and I don't need to use it very long to feel the burn in my legs. Honestly 2 minutes on this every so often throughout the day is great. I didn't realize when I ordered it that it was more of an "elliptical" trainer than regular steps. It feels as though I'm climbing stairs, feeling the burn mostly in my thighs. The only thing I would change would be to adjust the resistance on it. Its difficult to get to 100 steps (around 2 minutes) but I'd like to be able to stay on it a little longer with easier steps.
