There were no missing parts, and included plenty of glue and tweezers that can be used on future kits. All the pieces fit together, and the lighting kit worked. The printing on the book covers is backwards (as others have mentioned) but once they've been put on the bookshelves you won't notice it. This kit is easier to customize than the wooden punch-out piece type kits (those are usually preprinted, so there's less "crafting" required), so with this one you can make it really unique - I glued the overhead chandelier wiring under the center top truss so it's not noticeable, added a cloth rug, painted the chair, etc. It came out great and is really cute!

The media could not be loaded. It took forever to put together, but I bought it to pass time, so it was perfect. The books are poorly printed, but if you don't care about the contents of your library, it's great. It looks amazing on my book shelf.

Instructions could be better but it looks great when completed!

I really wanted to like this product. My friend and I bought this to do for a craft day. The instructions are not easy to follow, you literally have to cut each paper book out, fold and glue them. Some are so tiny that if you don’t get it perfect, it doesn’t line up and you have screwed up already. It looked fun but after 12 hours I gave up and threw it away

If I had known that I would have to accordion fold several hundred paper books I would not have purchased this kit. I am used to most books being wood with paper covers glued on. It takes patience to cut out all the books then fold and glue them. It's quite time consuming. Also the books are mirror imaged so that the lettering is backwards and the front cover is actually on the back. It's probably not a big deal because you can't really read them when the kit is assembled. But if you are a perfectionist this may not do.The wooden parts are all loose so you have to sort through them, measure their dimensions and compare them to the parts list to figure out which piece matches the instructions. There are no tabs to snap parts together so careful gluing is needed.The boards are not printed so you must glue on the "wall paper" on both sides of the boards. The fit together well though you have no tabs to help you place the boards in the proper place. With an open top, the light fixture wiring is not hidden. The white wire really show on the dark trusses of the ceiling. Also the wires are a little short for my taste. If you make a mistake there is not enough wires to correct it.A plus is that everything is included: two types of glue, screw driver and ruler. Batteries, of course, are not included. Overall it's a pretty good kit but I would not recommend it.

The books are mirrored images, but once its put together, it's not really noticeable. Was fairly easy to put together and has held up well
