Purchased for my Lifetime Tamarack Kayak and I love it! Shipping was fast, arrived sooner than promised, and it was packaged well. Installation took 5 minutes and the instructions with photos were well written and easy to follow.Highlights: Seems sturdy and made of materials that should last. Much more comfortable than original seat. Love being able to lay the seat back down and lock it in that position when hauling it. Stability after the install was not a problem and I love sitting up a little higher out of the water that pools in the original seat area. Fit Lifetime Tamarack perfectly and is the best upgrade I've done yet.While the seat is comfortable as is, the base was perfect, but I wanted to add additional padding on the backrest. The backrest was fine for a couple of hours at a time, but if you spend longer than that using it I recommend adding additional padding to the back like everyone recommends for pretty much every seat option for kayaks that I looked at online. I spent a few bucks on a pad on Amazon and added it to my set up and I can't be more pleased. The seat was 1/3 of the cost of other kayaks seat options, even after buying an additional backrest pad, and I am very pleased with the value and overall product.Thank you for a wonderful experience and low cost option to upgrade my kayak!

Fits my tioga perfectly. Great angle for paddling. Easy to install. I added padding to the back bar. I do wish the back bar was a little curved but vary happy with my purchase!

Lifetime kayaks are durable and portable, but their built in seats suck. The backs always come loose and pop off when you lean back on them. The other replacement seats are a pain in the butt and uncomfortable.We had to move the seat around to find a stable place to mount it. But it is sturdy and comfortable! And won’t pop off!

Alright I didn’t want to do a review till I already got the kayak out onto the water which I did this morning.Pros are it definitely gets you up a little higher out of the water so you get a better visual while fishing.The seat is definitely a lot more comfortable than the original seat.The install took all of 15 minutes to do which was great.Now for the cons the seat being more elevated it does make the kayak feel a little unstable I did go out on completely flat waters this morning but I rocked the kayak pretty hard back and forth while sitting down to see if it would be to unstable to keep. I dont think that’s the case but just something to think about. So little pro on there.The upper back rest definitely needs some padding it was digging into my back almost right away.And comfort I know I said the seat is comfortable In the pros but it’s not directly related to that, it’s more of if you want to stretch your legs or bend you legs. Having my legs stretched started to make my one leg kind of go numb on me. So I found kind of sitting with my knees bent a little bit helped with that. So I think it’s more of find your comfort spot.Now for the final thoughts, do I think this seat is worth your money. I would say Yes especially if you are looking for a affordable upgrade for your lifetime kayak and you don’t want to spend 800-1500 on a better kayak and want to go a few more years with your lifetime and get the most out of it before upgrading. I would just put some kind of padding on the back bar for some comfort and you will be ready to go.If my thoughts change after I take it out in windier or rougher conditions I will be back to update my review.

Great product! My husband is usually the one to spearhead these projects but he was busy so I took it on instead. It was easily done in 10 minutes and feels way more comfortable than the one that comes with the Lifetime Tahoma! Really love that this is a family owned business - would highly recommend.

Only fits the Lifetime angler kayaks, I have a tioga 10 foot kayak the seat sets up about 4 inchs

I bought two of these at the end of last year and got them installed on two Lifetime Tamarack sit on top kayaks. We took the kayaks out for the first time with the new seat up grade yesterday. I had put a noodle on the bar of each of our seats. My wife and I have kayaked and canoed for many years. With the increase in seat height each of us felt that the kayak was extremely unstable. Even with a noodle placed over the bar the seat was extremely uncomfortable. I going to look for another option because these did not work for us.

This item works great and is very comfortable. It only took about ten minutes to install on my kayak.
