JUBEST Pocket Door Frame Kit with 220LBS Two-Way Soft-Close Mechanism, Smooth and Quiet, Easy to Install Hidden Door Kit, 24" to 36" x 80"

After a year and a half, this door frame is still working well. It's a basic kit, but pretty functional--Maybe not A+ like a finish carpenter hand made it, but still the open/close smoothness is pretty good.

Great all in one kit. I was skeptical at first but it's sturdy and made well. Directions could be a little most clear but that's nothing a YT video couldn't help. Great value

Good quality, works as intended and relatively easy to install. I had unique installation parameters (could only work and install from one side) but was able to alter/adapt installation steps as needed with little difficulty. Used slightly sturdier nails and screws than those provided as my door was a bit heavier than many but still under the rated maximum capacity of the product. Would definitely purchase again.

Packaged complete, no missing parts. This kit is quality for the money, easy to install and the soft close works great. I did add screws to the header as it was only stapled, but I think any good carpenter would know to add the support. I've installed all wood frames from the big boxed stores in the past and will use only this kit in the future. Completely satisfied.

The installation instructions are not too well defined, all the fasteners are called screws where some are actually nails. Overall good quality, I have not installed the door yet as there is a part missing. I emailed the manufacturer and got two emails back the same day, one telling me that they would get me the part and the second one later telling me that they did not have the part but it would be shipped directly from the factory within two to three days. To be continued.... I did received the part and then noticed that I needed 2 so contacted Jubest again and received the part within a few days. Since I needed to open the wall to install the unit I added guides inside the wall at the bottom to prevent the door from swinging side to side as the two small guides provided are not ideal.

This is very sturdy and works well.

Wood is very soft and splits easily ... even with predrilled holes. The instructions are difficult to follow. One of the split beams was pretty warped which wasn't apparent until it was in place. Sliding door mechanism is very stiff although that may be my fault. I think I ordered the 220lb mechanism for a hollow door.

Installed and working correctly so far, only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because the hardware is garbage. All the screws that hold the door to the hinges broke off inside the door and had to use different screws. Other than that the system seems to work well.

The wrong collection of screws and nails were included in the box. I had to source my own elsewhere. The instructions were extensive but not always the clearest in my mind. Not completely done with the installation so can’t comment on how the 2-way soft close feature will work.

Came as expected. Assemble fine. Is firm enough for drywall / doesn’t bend
