Great Little Bathroom Heater
Been looking for bathroom heater for a couple of years, most too big or too pricey. Randomly stumbled across this one, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. This is an initial review after 3 or 4 uses. What I like: 1) very small, perfect size for my chilly bathroom. I placed it on a small, low, metal IKEA cabinet near outlet, 3 or 4 feet from tub area. 2) produces great heat, 3) quiet and no vibration issues at all. 4) very easy to operate with 3 selections. no touchscreens where you have to go get your eyeglasses to negotiate computer displays. 4) great value for price, that is IF it keeps working (reviews mixed on this point!) I also like that it has special GFI plug for bathroom safety. No prob with cord heating up, etc. Cons: 1) Not well-packaged at all for shipping with NO padding, bubblewrap or anything at all, just the small, loose product box inside large amazon box. Truly amazed it arrived Undamaged and in great working order. IMPORTANT: There's at least one very scary Amazon review about this heater over-heating and/or burning up a power outlet strip. The warning label on this heater clearly states that you should not use it with an extension cord or power strip, only plug directly into wall outlet. It also states to unplug the unit when not in use. I follow this strictly and also only ever use it when I'm actually in the bathroom. It goes off before I leave the room. I plan to use it frequently in the next few weeks in case, like some other reviews, it dies and I need to return it. I felt for the price, size and function it was worth a try. So far I really like it, is great stepping out of shower into a toasty bathroom and it dries me off quickly too, as well as the bathroom. Will update if any significant change.

Wonderful white cube
I went through 3 other heaters before getting to this one & I love this one the best! I got the little white square cube :) It's kind of simple, and that's what I love about it. I love that the first setting is 1 hour high heat and it'll turn itself off. I use this one to warm up my bathroom for my shower. I have not really used the second setting, which is just high, or the third setting, which is just low. I remember reading another review mentioning this is a great little cube, and you don't have to worry about it being tipped over and I agree with that completely. I remember reading that it's kind of a pain to move because there's no handle and I agree with that also. But it's not too heavy, which is important for me because I'm getting older and have hand and finger issues. I'm hard-of-hearing so I don't really know about the noise level. Doesn't bother me any. I love how compact this heater is; it's very space saving :) and I think it has very good airflow. I'm not sure about how long but it'll heat up my bathroom from 58° to like 76° in probably half an hour. Then I took my shower and it was still going when I was done. This was on the one hour timer. It's just a great little heater and I suspect the durability will be great :) I absolutely recommend this heater!! I watched other video reviews and that really helped me decide :)

Small cube, immediate heat, simple switch, high quality cord/circuit breaker plug, nice looking.
We absolutely love this heater. I should say that our bathroom is somewhat on the small side, but it's definitely far better than any others we've used. It starts putting out a lot of heat the moment it's turned on. The foot print is small and because it's shaped like a small cube, it can't be knocked over like the standard skinny tall ones. Because of this it doesn't need (or have) an automatic shut off switch on the bottom -- a small short cube can't fall over. I like the simple and very large diameter push switch on the top, no small knobs or switches to fiddle with. Tapping it gives you On, On for an hour and Off. I wish it also had a straight no heat fan option, but it doesn't, however, I'm quite happy with it anyway. There is no handle to pick it up with, but since the front is the only surface that gets hot (and quckly cools off when heater is turned off) it's quite easy to just pick it up by squeezing the two sides between the palms of your hands. Takes up little space, performs very well, high quality cord with circuit breaker plug and much nicer looking than most.

Nice, quiet, pushes a lot of heat. 4.5 Stars
We have 4 Lasko products in our home, and have found them to be very reliable, so although there are cheaper heaters out there, I was confidant in this purchase. It's very nice to quick-warm a bathroom in the morning when the house thermostat has been low all night. It's quiet, heats up quickly, and has a thoughtful 1-hour on high timer. The cat, in particular, loves it - nuzzling it hopefully when it's off. Pros: It's a solidly built good unit that does its job. Meets expectations and is an attractive ivory cube that takes up little space. Cons: (3 grumpy items - no deal breakers) (1) Unless you have the hands of Rachmaninov (or...Shaq, for you sports fans), you'll have trouble picking this up with less than 2 hands. A cube this weighty and smooth should absolutely have either an inset handle or a bucket-like (possibly silicone) handle to maneuver it quickly. (2) The large round top button/switch is really nice! It makes a substantial click when you toggle between high-1 hour, high, and low. There's also a small inoffensive orange light that is always on when the heater is plugged in, and shows which power you're on. So you have a tactile and visual representation that you are turning the heater on - why would it need a *ridiculously* loud beep whenever you push it. Beep! Beep! Beep! The heater is on low! - now why are the dogs barking? (3) While a lawful warning sticker is normal for something easily misused....in this case, the Do Not Remove!!! sticker is fixed on the cord near the plug, and is Huge. More warnings than an aspirin bottle, English and Spanish. It might be.... 5x7" and made of stiff, wrinkled, rattley and curiously waterproof paper. Now, you might think I bet they removed it, but no! wrapping it around the cord and securing it with a piece of medical wrap at least streamlined it a bit. Experience teaches that if you remove those things, you're left with a sticky cord anyway. TL;DR It's nice. If you need one, watch for a sale, buy it. You'll never be sorry you have a little heater on hand - just don't ignore the warnings!

Lives Up To Everything in the Description!
All Of The Above Statements Are True! This little bathroom heater is a gem. I had previously bought a Lasko space heater from a big box store (I won't name it here but you're welcome to guess). Anyway, I was very happy with it, and I almost bought a second one for my bathroom. However the owner's manual clearly stated not to use it in the bathroom. Then, recently, while house-sitting for a friend, I discovered a small ceramic space heater, not even as big as a toaster, sitting on her vanity. The bathroom was like a sauna from this tiny thing. As for my own bathroom, it's freezing inS here withouto help of a space heater. So, I searched Amazon and found this - the Lasko CD08200 Small Portable Ceramic Space Heater. and it's specifically designed for use in the bathroom! As stated above in the descripton, every statement is 100% true: HEATS UP THE BATHROOM FAST, SMALL & MIGHTY, EASY TO USE. APPROVED FOR BATHROOM USE, etc. In my experience, the Lasko makes products that are reasonably priced and very dependable. In fact, I'm preheating the bathroom right now, because as soon as I hit the SUBMIT button, I'm gonna jump in the shower!

Still operating reliably after one year of regular use!
Even with some negative responses and product failures reported, I still decided to purchase this heater due to its overwhelmingly positive reviews and popularity based on the number of units sold. Now, after using it for over a year without any problems, it has proven its value to me in cost, performance and reliability. This Lasko CD08200 Small Portable Ceramic Space Heater was a replacement for an older heater of a similar type and power rating that had simply lost its heating effectiveness after decades of use. It is always cold in my 6 ft. x 9 ft. basement bathroom, requiring some fortitude when stepping out of the shower. Hence a heater had become a necessary appliance there. Ceramic heaters produce plenty of heat for their size and are a great choice for bathrooms, making this unit appropriate for that purpose. I typically operate the heater for about 30 minutes per day, mainly during the cooler weather months. But even in summer, the heater will eliminate the chill of air conditioning which makes the basement bathroom quite cool then, as well. I found the information provided here by the manufacturer to be comprehensive and accurately describes the product and its usage in every detail. Links to important safety documents and instructions for use (in PDF format) are also included. To summarize, the Lasko CD08200 heater is a small, but effective 1500-watt personal heater with a simple one-button control, making it very easy to use. It heats very well, particularly in relatively small spaces, like bathrooms.

ALMOST CAUSED A HOUSE FIRE
I wasn't actually going to review this heater since i figured mine was a defective one and since there were SOOO many positive reviews, i didnt want to smear the name for a defect. However, when i started to look for a replacement, i checked Lasko's other heater reviews and realized what i went through seems to be a common occurrence for this brand. I ADVISE anyone about to purchase any Lasko product to read my review. Dont make a judgment on the brand base off my experience but it would be a good idea to keep it in mind and an eye on your heater. Here is my situation: -Had 2 different heavy duty heaters plugged into the same outlet in my bathroom. My house is also only 2 years old and NEWLY built with new equipment. -My bathroom is very well spaced and would even compare it to average size bedrooms. So ventilation or high temps are not a problem. -Purchased this heater. Within 2 days, plugged it into a surge protector that went to the same outlet. -After first 10min of use, fuse on heater tripped. I checked and realized my surge protector was MELTING. Outlet on wall has VISIBLE signs of burns. Looks like someone took a lighter to it for about 20 sec. Pretty sure w/o the surge protector, my outlet/wall would have gone up in flames. -took heater to my office and tried a plug there. Heater fuse tripped ever 10 seconds or so. Wire started getting very hot and so did outlet on wall. At this point i have deemed the heater defective. -In conclusion, i now have to buy a new surge protector and have my outlet replaced. Heater ended up costing me money. Like mentioned before, i know mistakes happen and this may have been a defective unit so i didnt want to ruin the lasko name. However as i was looking to replace this heater, i was looking into other lasko heaters which i then realized what i went through is common for other lasko heaters. At this point, i am terrified of having the same thing happen, but possibly be much much worse.
