Probably not because you can easily add a male ¼-20 threaded screw on it. Yes, it’ll be a little tall but it can be done.

Is it easy to press the release button and twist the GoPro off with one hand while riding the bike?

You will not be able to do that with one hand...I use a similar ULANZI product to hold my GoPro on the handlebar stem of my bike. I would recommend buying this different version of their product instead. I have not had any issues with my GoPro staying connected while riding on trails and I am able to take the GoPro off and record when riding and easy re-attach with one hand. Also very easy to move from my bike to a tripod.
