Bought this product to charge my Tesla at a local dealership, it went up to 50 amps briefly, but then went down to 30 amps. Not even close to the 80 amps they claim. My Tesla gave me a warning that says, “charge rate reduced — unexpected voltage drop.” I would recommend spending the extra $30 and get the real deal from Tesla that will charge at the rate it claims.It might be able to handle 80 amps, if you could bypass the warning and force the car to draw that much, but if the car thinks it can’t, then it doesn’t make any difference.

This adapter is well-built and heavy-duty. This adapter works with Tesla Superchargers. I’ve used it multiple times. It helps improve the distance that i can travel without worry of having not power.

Tested and still being used on a 2022 Chevy bolt euv. So convenient to charge on the supercharge network without paying the additional money for the Chevy adapter.

I'm giving this 4 starts because it feels solidly constructed and the instructions that came with it are adequate. That being said, as the title implies, it was hard to use without injuring my thumb on my 2025 Chevy Blazer EV. The problem is the release lever sets on top of the body and once the adapter is inserted, I couldn't easily get my thumb under the shrouding of the Charge port to release the adapter. I got my forefinger in but I had no leverage on the button because it was barely small enough to fit under the port shroud. I had to open my trunk and use the emergency adapter release cord. That was a shame. I really like how the finish and the quality.

Got this for my Rivian after the update and it works great. Charging is super fast and now I can use Tesla Superchargers everywhere. Total game changer for road trips.
