EJ Brush
I like this brush. It is a nice size, and looks very nice. I've only used it once so far, but I think it's decent. It holds a lot of water. I'm not sure if something like this requires a break-in or not. I think out of the box it's a little stiff (yes I soaked it in water first) hence the 4 stars. It's still very nice, but if I decide that it bothers me in the future my next brush will be a little bit larger knot, and a little less firm....but none the less it's a worth while buy.EDIT: I have used this several times now, and I actually think it's a great brush. I've noticed minimal hair loss, and it feels great on my face. Of course I have nothing else to judge it by, but base on the prices of Simpson among others I never will. The stiffness is still sort of there, but by the time I get to the second pass it feels like silk on my skin. It's quite nice. Changed to 5 starts. It looks nice and works nice. When you pick it up it also has some heft and feels like a nice quality product. Go save the Queen, football, England, and all that jazz!!!!EDIT 2: I still have this brush as of 2/21/18 just passing the 4yr mark. Its been a fantastic brush. No signs of any wear. The bottom chrome has gotten a little discolored....meh.

Top Notch Entry Level Brush
So as far as badger brushes go the quality ranking starts at "Pure" then "Best Badger" and the finest quality is "Satin Tip".This is to be consider a high end entry level badger brush. There is not a big price premium to jump up to "Best Badger", so if you have a bit more left in the budget then step up $10 bucks or so for the next highest grade. Now to the brush itself. I have been using it for a few months now and I am very pleased. It holds a lot of water after soaking. A strong strong shake into the sink will yield about an ounce of water and you can do this twice. The brush itself seems best suited for traditional shaving creams such as Taylors of Old Bond Street and Truefitt and Hill. I can load it u and work and effective lather rapidly either in my mug or directly on my face and can paint my face with a thick cushion of cream. However if you are using a traditional shaving soap I think you will want something with more backbone (stiffer bristles).I am happy with this brush it suits my needs perfectly right now.

Hide your wimmins!
This sucker is hot! I love it. Big, heavy and solid. Absolutely gorgeous to look at. Classy. I had very little shedding with mine. Maybe just lucky. I have been using some pretty cheesy brushes up til now. Didn’t really think that a better brush would make that big a difference. Boy was I wrong! Badger hair kicks butt. A bit stiffer than I expected but you really feel the difference. Stands that beard right up. Very nice. Better hide all the ladies, I look good! Highly recommend. Thanks for reading

Good value shaving brush
Metal used with this brush is unusually heavy whereas the real badger hair are soft and create a good shave

Nice lather. Have never used anything in the super ...
Has held up. Nice lather. Have never used anything in the super high class range-but for me, it is great. Only thing is (minor) I wish the handle had a more definitive way to hold it, my hands are XL. It smells very slightly of badger sometimes.

Excellent brush, almost zero break in period
Excellent brush, almost zero break in period. The handle is a little shorter than the Parker it is replacing, but I am adjusting. The bristles are softer, and yet feel as though they have more backbone than the Parker. Both good brushes, the Edwin Jagger has a much heavier feel, and is better made on 1st impression, for the extra $10, I'd say it is well worth it.

Fantastic shaving brush at 1/2 the price
Great quality brush and for the price it can't be beat. I could not be more satisfied with this brush and it's performance. I think it may have lost one hair on during it's maiden voyage but that's it! It's by far the best shaving brush I'v ever had and at a fraction of the cost. The picture does't do the product justice because it's a gorgeous addition to my sink counter top.

It feels very solid and produces good thick lather
Pros: It feels very solid and produces good thick lather. Fits perfectly in the stand. Very minimal brush-hair lossCons: At first, the smell of the brush is a little off-putting (it is boar, after all). After a few uses it goes away.

I swear by Edwin Jagger products. Ive used them for years.
This is my 2nd EJ brush and its every bit as good as expected. It lathers well, it cleans well and its nice to look at on a stand. The value you get from a decent brush cannot be overstated. If shaving is something you do regularly, dont scrimp on cheap products. Ive shaved almost every day for the last 25 years, nearly 15 years exclusively using EJ products, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. A perfect balance of affordability and quality.

Colour mismatch
Beautiful brush, soft and comfortable to use, with enough firmness in the bristles to give a proper lather.Downside is the colour of the metallic parts. It's a completely different colour to the metal on the matching razor. The colour mismatch is ruining what would otherwise be one of the most beautiful shaving sets on the market!

Well made and nicely packed
As the heading says, its very well made, has a real feel of quality but i wish i had done my research before - now realise that trimmed badger hair is really quite spiky - save up a bit and go for the silver tipped ones they same company makes, so much softer on the face. Oh well.....

Decent
Nice and heavy, looks nice and classy on the counter, brings up a nice lather in the soap, with minimal hair loss. Very soft brush, worth the money.

Great Shaving Brush
I have been investigating pure badger shaving brushes for some time to replace my ordinary synthetic brush and chose this one as it looks good, is from a top manufacturer and came recommended by other reviews. I have not been disappointed and love using badger. It lathers up lovely with little effort and provides great value for money. I shall not revert to synthetic brushes again.
