- These redesigned fifth-generation Type-R Alpine RW-12D2 12 inch Subwoofers include an abundance of enhanced features to achieve staggering power handing capabilities, cleaner output, deeper bass extension and ultra-responsive control than ever before.
- The Type-R Alpine Subwoofers have been completely redesigned again to offer more installation flexibility and application versatility to build the ideal sound system. At 4-1/2″ for the 8″, 5 – 7/8” for the 10”, and 6 – 3/8” for the 12”, these new designs offer a near 20% reduction in mounting depth, while offering even greater output capability.
- Progressive Spider: The progressive spider has reinforced layer tinsel leads to ensure reliable and consistent control of the tinsel leads and eliminate any mechanical noise or interference often seen in high excursion cone designs.
- Jumpers: Included with the woofer are two voice coil terminal jumpers. These jumpers allow you to easily wire the voice coils in parallel (for a 1Ω load) or series (for a 4Ω load).
- Sealed Box Volume: The recommended sealed box volume ranges from 0.65 cubic feet to 1.1 cubic feet, with 0.85 cubic feet being the ideal size. (The volume in the manual is given as net, before accounting for the displacement of the subwoofer when installed.)
