Bought a few of these and on the 4 th night we heard one go off under kitchen sink. It’s a loud alarm you can’t miss and detected based on just a small amount of water. Saved us who knows how much in damage. Worth every penny.

Bought this after a friend had significant water damage after a leak — hopefully it saves me from one!!

Fortunately There hasn't been a water leak since purchasing the Dectector, but it is reassuring to have if there is one.

Description as advertised. I tested this device by placing it on a dish and slowly pouring water onto dish to run under it. When water hit probes on bottom of unit the alarm sounded. Pushed Test button to stop the alarm as described in Owners manual. Also dripped water onto top sensors and alarm went off. Only 4 stars given at this time as it hasn't been tested under REAL conditions, but I expect it will.

This product does what it says -- it beeps very loudly when touched by water or moisture.Just makes sure you test it at least once before you deploy it, so that you remember what it sounds like -- and makes sure all adult household members know what that sound is too. When mine eventually sounded months after I bought it, I didn't recognize what the sound was and went searching around for a house or car alarm break-in. So avoid my mistake!
