Makes beautiful flares. The clamps fit sae tubing perfectly, haven't tried the metric sizes. It doesn't come with a stickout gauge like some so I 3D printed one with varing stickout distances so I can use the one that give a flare that is in spec for the size and application, overall probably a better solution than the one size fits all gauge that some use. I used it to install a mini-split and it worked prefectly. I would suggest making a few practise flares and checking the OD then you're pretty much gaurenteed a perfect result. Put a little nylog or compatible oil on the cone and you'll get beautiful almost mirror finish flares.

Basic tool but works great for flaring copper lines for LP Gas (Propane). I bought this to install copper tubing (1/2") for my Firepit, only needed 2 fittings flared, but it performed flawlessly.

After purchasing two flaring tools from different hardware stores and neither of them working, I ordered this one. This one is easy to use and the flare works and seals properly 100% of the time. It does not damage the pipe and automatically prevents you from over tightening.
