The Doux Big Poppa Defining Gel, Curling Gel to Fight Frizz and Humidity, Curl-Defining Hair Products, Suitable for All Curl Types

This is my first time trying this gel and I am very impressed. The gel doesn’t dry over time, it tames frizz totally, moisturizes and holds shape for days. It feels like if you added a cream, butter, oil and water in a bottle. I wouldn’t recommend it for people with oily hair because of how heavy it is buty 4 type girls. You will be very satisfied.

Original review: 1STAR-- Seems like it could have been a good gel based on reviews and scent upon arrival. Unfortunately the package was horrendous. (TN, USA) Cute box but the gel container arrived with the lid broken off to the side and contents partially spilled out= RETURNED immediately.This could have easily been prevented with proper padding inside covering all sides to avoid movement inside or even a smaller box for similar effect. This was for my 4yo who has a lot of beautiful big curls and we're running low on our original less effective gel so this is disappointing.Updated Review: 5STARSThanks to PROPER PROTECTIVE PACKING on the part of this new seller I've found (TX, USA), we get to enjoy the actual product. Works great for my daughter's Type2 curls and the ends of my Type4 coils.Lesson: if this jar arrives in a relatively larger box (think Shoe box) It's likely to swim around and get knocked about and arrive broken and partially empty so send it back right away. If it's in a smaller box -- even if it's just a plain brown box-- that's JUST big enough for the jar and the little bubble wrap or other padding the seller is likely to have, the jar will have a greater chance to survive and everyone will be happy.I don't care about fancy looking boxes that don't protect what I bought, I want the darn product in one piece. Thank you to the second seller!

My favorite gel!!! The clumping is so good and defines my curls well. I get compliments nearly every time I use this. Also the hold is strong (which I need for my hair type)

It’s quite sticky almost leaves your hand as though it had honey that dried out.I don’t like the feel of my hair after it dries.I will say that it does give short-lived curl definition that remains shiny until the definition is gone.
