Get your gut biome going with this little baby
I love this thing. It’s so easy to use. It doesn’t take much space on the counter. Easy to clean and put away. One of the best smoothie makers I’ve ever had.

The blender failed after 4 months of once per week use.
The gasket has a strong tendency to become unlodged from its groove and winds itself around the blade. When it does this it almost stops the motor: almost but not quite. This the worst thing you can do to a motor because when it happens the motor draws much higher amperage than normal and so, inevitably, one of the windings burns out. I assume this is what happened because the motor will not start anymore. Its not like I left it running while seized for any length of time: I never left it running unattended. It just happened once too often I guess. At, I tried to return the blender but the manufacturer makes this so difficult that I attempted it three times only to find I was "missing" some key information. I bought this based on a Consumer Reports recommendation. Obviously, this was a bad strategy Followup: I bought a Ninja Nutripro to replace the Starfrit: It came last night and I used it this morning. The difference between these two blenders cannot be overstated. The Ninja well made, easy to use, is very heavy duty, and most importantly, performed effortlessly on a smoothie consisting of yogurt, frozen fruit, and milk. But the biggest difference in terms of performance, is the basic mechanical design: they recess the gasket into a deep, narrow grove that the single-serve cup threads into so that it is physically impossible for the gasket to come out while blending. I bought the Starfrit based on a Consumers Reports recommendation and did not look too closely at the spec and such. The Ninja may not have a fancy recommendation, and while it is certainly much more expensive; the difference in quality just goes to show that, sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.
