Smells good.
Love this book. Bright white, crisp pages, good size. Has a crap load of different types, old and modern, Not that much words. Lots of pictures. I ordered 3 books similar to this one and this one is my favorite. Great coffee table book.

Good book, but needed proof-reading
This was a nice read with plenty of illustrations. It covered quite a bit of the history of firearms, including many types I had never heard of. My biggest gripe is that there were a lot of typos and other mistakes, especially near the end. I can't speak to whether any of the major facts were incorrect. Also, this is a recent book but it basically stops its history lesson around the 60s with nothing about modern guns (the AK47 is probably the latest gun mentioned).

A highly generalised book on firearm development but featuring some interesting facts; contains photo details of various rare firearms. Some minor technical errors. It is the nature of these `Illustrated History` type publications to be sketchy.
