InoKraft Oil-Water Separator, 1/4" NPT, 90 PSI, Air-Compressor and Air-Tool Accessory, Good Tightness

I own a couple of air tools paired with a small, oil-free air compressor. Since I don't use them regularly, I hadn't given much thought to this component. However, after installing this separator, I was surprised to find water actually captured within it. I presume this moisture would otherwise remain in the tools and eventually lead to their degradation, such as rusting. I am happy to see that it works!

I needed am air/water separator for my paint sprayer and this one works perfect. I ran 5 quarts of paint through and this captured quite a bit of water

I was curious how well this would work, but it does what they say it should. You'll need some extra fittings to install this. Based on the design it looks like you could install this at just about any angle, but vertical would only help. I ran a bunch of air through this and no moisture was present so I went ahead and put some air tool oil directly in the line just upstream of this. The air comes up the middle tube and then out holes at the top. Then, once in the chamber, the air has to go through the bronze colored filter. In my case the oil just stuck to the walls and that is where it stayed. None came out of my blow gun. When installing fittings I was concerned about cracking the chrome housing, but it is quite tough. Using Teflon tape, I had no leaks and no issues with the install. The drain valve, which is just a valve core used in your tire valve stems, is replaceable. This is nice in the event that is deteriorates over time and leaks or corrodes. The plastic is quite thick and should hold up to some abuse although I'm not sure how well it would handle too many drops on concrete.Bottom line:This is a great value for only $11.99 and well made. The structure detection is small and exquisite, and the oil-water separation effect is good, that is, the volume is too small, and water should be released in a while.

I work in an aviation shop with airtools on the daily and sometimes our shop airdryer gets a little overwhelmed. I hooked this little guy up to my airline and it gives me the peace of mind that I'm not running damp air through my high quality and expensive air tools.

I have only used this Oil Water separator one time to spray a car trunk lid with my HVLP gun. I like the see through design. No leaks but only time will tell as using only one time will not help with the longevity of this product.... Sorry.... For now I give it a 5 stars..

It seems like it would work perfectly but maybe it is just my compressor. The filter helps but there is still too much water inside.

Can’t beat it for the price, got some heft to it, works well. Release is a schrader/valve stem core, easy to replace.
