I have tried different reflex hammers, including my stethoscope and this one is by far the best because it is weighted. Will definitely get the reflex no matter now light you tap it. You definitely do not need to put your wrist into it unless you want the patient jumping off the table.

this have a little more weight at end than the "tomahawk" style, so work better. just wish the other end was blunt

I love it I use it during my clinical examination and OSCE and I can elicit the reflexes just fine, alot of doctors recommend the plastic rubbery hammer but I think this one is better because when it you hold it correctly the weight of the hammer become one hammer head rather than your hand

Not for neurologists but serves the purpose for the price. Tends to unscrew when placed in the parallel position depending on what direction you use it.
