Seems pretty sturdy. I love miniature anything so this is right up my alley! Great extra leash that I can toss into my bag or just pop on my doggies collar to keep handy. Fits nicely in my palm, my kiddos loved walking the dog with it too! Retracts well!

We bought this product in hopes that we could replace our existing leashes since our dogs spend a good amount of time off-leash. We have two Australian Shepherds (40 and 50lbs) that both wear harnesses. We consistently ran into issues that whenever the dog would pull (even slightly) on these leashes, they would lock into place and the push-button would be impossible to depress without placing it against a hard surface and practically stepping on the unit. We felt that we could work around this issue, until the retraction stopped functioning reliably, after about 2-3 weeks the unit would only retract about halfway consistently, rending it useless for the problem at hand. They worked fine for a few times and would probably be nice for a small dog that only uses it occasionally, but we have stopped using these going forward.

I can't say enough good things about the Lazy Leash! As a dog owner with an off-leash trained furry friend, this retractable leash has been a game-changer. It's incredibly convenient when I need to quickly grab my dog in public places, restaurants, or when unexpected encounters with other dogs happen. The small and lightweight design is perfect; it doesn't weigh me down or take up much space in my bag. I have two corgis who LOVE nature walks and trail hikes. I'm too much of a nervous dog mom to let them fully off leash, but having them drag a leash behind them is not ideal at all. I happened to stumble across a TikTok video, of all things, where a guy had one of these for his own dog. I have never run to Amazon so fast in my life!!! I immediately bought one to try it out (but it came with a bonus second one as a gift... how's that for customer service?!). We went on our first walk with them today and they were PERFECT! Lazy Leash is super durable, strong, but also light weight and convenient. Cannot recommend it enough and I'm going to pass it along to all my dog-parent friends!

I ordered a cute purple lazy leash and it arrived well packed with a bonus lazy leash!!!! It is sturdy feeling works well retracts really quickly and you can tell the spring inside is strong. I'm excited to have this for my pup Charleigh when we go on walks this is going to be the perfect addition to our adventure life!!!

I hate leaving terrible reviews but both the leashes I got work so inconsistently they are useless. They work fine in the house, but they don't work in the field. When I'm using them with my German Shepherd, just the tension of trying to get it to release - even when he's in a stay - causes them to jam. Usually, I can't depress the button and when I had to start hitting it with a rock to get it to release, I decided I was done. I had this difficulty after a few days of use. Can't recommend this product.

These things are great!! Well the idea is amazing. These specific ones fall short. I have already lost one, it just fell off when the dogs were running around. The company did send a free one with each order (but still). Also, I have a 40lbs cattledog/boarder collie mix. He got excited and pulled pretty hard on the leash. Now it will not hold any tension. It completely destroyed the gears on the inside. They must be weak plastic inside. Also, the straps twist up and can bind, there needs to be a swivel added to the very bottom that allows the strap to twist and turn with the dog. I will continue to use these as long as they last. However, I don't think it'll be long. I'm already down 2. I have only had them one week.

I love this concept and wanted to love these so much! I got the buy one get one deal and received two of them. At first, I was super excited as they seemed to work great. Unfortunately, it was short lived. The first one jammed quickly and I tried everything to get it to retract or pull out. I couldn't get it. It wound up tossed because it was useless. The leash is also REALLY short, so if you're tall and have a short dog, this is not for you. I could not use it to walk my havanese (I'm a 5'7" female). My kids could walk her with it though.The second one I used on my service dog who really DOESNT need a leash as he's glued to my side, but for required leashing areas I was excited to have something I could pull out to show him leashed and not deal with the side eyes and annoying comments. Well, the 3rd time I pulled it out, I accidentally dropped it next to him (easy to drop as there is no handle or anything), and within a split second, another dog BIT THE LEASH IN HALF. This was a puppy with puppy teeth but it was so quick and as instant as cutting it with a scissors. I was really disappointed that it was that thin for dog teeth to cut through without even trying. lolAnyway, great concept. Bad experience. I hope they continue to engineer these to be sturdier/maybe add a handle some way.

Love this little leash. We use it when our dog goes to the car for a car ride. He is a runner so he cannot be trusted off leash on the short walk from the front door of the house to the car. When we get to the car, we zip the leash in and it's no fuss no muss! This little gadget saves us so much time! I wish our local pet stores would carry it, I showed it to some of the employees at ours but I guess I wasn't there when the manager was in. Definitely recommend this super little producT1

You can put this anywhere as a spare lead. Where have these been all of my life?!

Some annoying things have happened.-The leash is always jammed and often in the most inconvenient moments and the only way unjam the leash is to press it against something hard, which is not always available.-Sometimes the leash will release itself and then it’ll just be dangling and dragging around on the dogs collar.- the title claims, “strong enough to pull a truck”, but the product was clearly not tested on an excited dog eager to sniff a bush or say hi to another dog. Even with it autolocking, if the dog jerks and pulls at the leash it will unlock against the pressure.- the freebie yellow leash got permanently jammed and has proven to be completely useless. I threw it out.This leash should not be used for medium/large dogs or left on the collar/harness. The idea is clever and I wish it worked, but the product needs to be reevaluated as it’s faulty and not worth the price.At this point, I’m just going to get a goat leash and return this product.I’ll beORIGINAL REVIEW:The product came well packaged and the instructions are clear to read. The clasps seem a bit cheap so that’s my worry, but I don’t need it for a strong puller.I got this for my dog that jumps fences and likes to take little jaunts around the neighbourhood. My plan is to use it for the walk of shame back home when I catch him.I ordered the rainbow one and was pleasantly surprised when I found an extra yellow one in the package.The weird thing is that only one came in a box.The yellow one did jam up, but I unjammed it with some pressure like the instructions say.

If you have a dog any bigger than a chihuahua then avoid. I got it because it said it can take 4000lbs of pressure, at training we tried this out on my Mali and it snapped as soon as he moved forward.

For a small device I’m impressed with the overall quality. It’s light weight and I feel comfortable leaving it clipped to my dogs collar as it’s durable enough (the clip is heavy duty too)Wonderful for trail hiking (if you’re one that typically allows off leash) to have a handy leash upon recall.
