This replica of a traditional Maori women or men's flax Korowai cloak is perfect to wear over the Kapahaka costume. It features a top border of an authentic red, black and white design that includes New Zealand's national bird the Kiwi, surrounded by the Niho-Taniwha pattern (dragon's teeth) and the Baskets of Knowledge. The cloak is made from 100% cotton and adorned with traditional karure or tassels. The side is held together with a comfortable band of elastic. This versatile cloak can be worn several different ways. (Measurements below are approximate) ADULT'S SMALL CLOAK: 35" wide x 41" long - fits 38"-41" around the shoulders, ADULT'S MEDIUM CLOAK: 38" wide x 45" long - fits 42"-44" around the shoulders, ADULT'S LARGE CLOAK: 40" wide x 49" long - fits 44"-48" around the shoulders.
