I really like how they look in my library. They are large enough to stand out, and to stand up against hardbacks and paperbacks alike. The feet on the bottom keep them from sliding. This also means you probably only want to stand them as shown, rather than switching between up and down. The only issue I have comes upon close examination. See in my photos how a couple spots the gold paint overlaps the black part, and there are some black spots (gold missing) on parts of the feather. From a distance you’d never notice, but I thought it was a little sloppy for something that is largely decorative.
