Good, complete, a bit basic
I liked the intros by Jim Dale - concise, interesting and to the point. The rest is really good if you've never thought about it - if you find "If you are caught out in extreme wind in a small boat: 1. Lower the sails..." useful, this book's for you! It's an American book for an American audience, so hurricanes, typhoons and tsunamis are all covered, as well as what you'd expect: heat, cold, wind, flood. It's not expensive, so worth a read if you're curious about the subject but have never thought about it before.

Astoundingly incompetent about the subject
This is one of the worst books I’ve ever read! Not only is every fact clearly untrue, the level of misinformation is just astounding and simply untrue. Not one so called “fact” is based on truth or backed up by reliable sources. If you are looking for any information about our climate look anywhere else but this book!

Don’t bother

What complete nonsense
Thought I’d give this book a chance but slung it in the bin after reading 10 pages. Coudnt stop laughing at some of the stuff. I wonder who funds this nonsense.

Absolute garbage…a terrible read
An absolute pile of garbage, by the unqualified ‘meteorologist’, Jim Dale. Wonder who is paying him to spew forth this fiction. This book belongs in the £1 bargain bin at WHSmiths, if that.
