National Geographic Magnificent Ocean: A Coloring Book Paperback – Coloring Book, October 14, 2016

i love this so much! i was super happy to find that the pages are thick enough to color with marker! i used copics and it held up aside from bleeding through the back (as to be expected though)i like that the drawings lean towards realism and have a good amount of detail but don't overdo the tiny little lines. i don't like when it's too simple, but i tend to get frustrated with coloring super detailed fine line drawings, so this is perfect!

I chose this book partly because the pages were perforated and printed on one side only - I had them out for people to take as part of our summer reading program. It tells you 96 pages, and pages are generally counted both sides. Somehow I expected 96 printed pages, but it is half that. That's on me, but maybe my review will make someone else know what they are getting. That said, the pictures are beautiful and my library patrons enjoyed being able to take them to color!

I used my soulcolor soft leaded pencils in this book and it is very smooth. I also use prisma color soft leaded pencils. The pages are preferated and almost a card stock thickness which is a must have for me. The thick pages are very smooth and color very well with a soft leaded color pencils. Very bright colors (they pop more on this type of paper with my soft leaded pencils).

This is an awesome book. I love the pictures because they are detailed plus very life like. I have had this book for about a week flipping through it to see what I want to color first. I found out that the pages are perforated. Who hoo! Too who ever decided to do that. It makes coloring the pages. You don’t have to fight with the book while you are coloring. That is a Hugh win for me.

I got this as a gift for a friend who loves fish and aquariums. She really enjoyed getting to use this. I agree with some of the other reviews that the inside coloring sheets are not quite as detailed as the cover lead me to, but there was still plenty of variety. If you are looking for fun, simple, aquatic designs, this should work well. If you are wanting more complex pages, this might not suit you. The book is bound together nicely and should travel well if you wanted to transport it.

I love everything about this coloring book. It is detailed enough to be interesting, but simple enough to not take me hours to finish each page. I LOVE IT. I will be getting every single one they come out with, and I'm going to order another copy of this one for my sister for Christmas. :)

Beautifully detailed images. Great for imaginative coloring. All National Geographic coloring books are high quality. Pages have perfect surface with no ink seepage through to next page.

I have a grandson that is very interested in the ocean. Perfect gift.
