OFM Essentials Collection 3-Drawer Wheeled Mobile Pedestal Cabinet, Harvest

As others have cited, it's a really nice piece of furniture, a nice cabinet, nice drawers ...It is not, however, what most would consider a "File Cabinet", or "legal file" as it says in the title and description.The larger bottom drawer with a fifth caster to support it would suggest a legitimate amount of space for 'files'. With a scant 5.5" of depth in that "deeper bottom drawer", be prepared to purchase another "File Cabinet" if you want to store 'files'. Not a blatant misrepresentation, but certainly edging on it. Even the 9" high drawer face gives the impression that there would be more usable space.Three stars because for what it actually is, it's objectively a lovely piece. For what it was depicted to be, not so much.

This thing arrived assembled except for the casters, which makes sense since they could be damaged if the item is dropped in transit. The first thing I noticed after unpacking was the bottom right corner of the bottom drawer was damaged as if the drawer had been dropped on that edge during assembly. I fixed the chipped area with some Duratite wood dough and hid it with a little flat black paint. The top of the cabinet was loose on one side. It didn't look like the dowels had ever seen any glue. I squeezed in some glue and set a weight on the top to hold it down until the glue dried. I had to finish boring two of the holes for the caster screws. These annoyances aside, this is a pretty nice little cabinet. The drawers operate smoothly and it has a nice flat finish with no blemishes.

This cabinet is very well built and very nice quality. The drawers hold tight when closed and the drawer open and close very easily. And best of all, except for the wheels at the bottom, it is shipped put together. And the wheels are very easy to attach.The reviews that talk about how bad the cabinet smells were not lying. Luckily I am pretty tolerant of smells so it doesn't bother me much, but someone who is sensitive to bad smells may want to consider another cabinet. I have only had the cabinet a week so maybe I will update this review if the smell goes away to let people know how long it lasts (it lasts at least a week :))UPDATE: it is now almost June and smell is completely gone. Not really sure when the smell went away because I really forgot about it but it is now gone and I love the cabinet still. Holding up very nicely.

There was debate in the various reviews I read about whether this unit would hold hanging files. The seller insisted it would so I went ahead with the purchase. I guess technically it's true that hanging files will fit, but they will not hang. They'd need to lie on they side which, of course, defeats the purpose of hanging files. Very misleading and disappointing.

The design is clean and uncluttered, I love the mobility, the material is quite sturdy enough and the black looks very chic. The drawers do what drawers are supposed to do. Finally, my desk is complete.

I wish the first and second drawers were smaller or just one so bottom could hold files upright. We use the first two drawers for supplies and the bottom for labels instead of files.

It came with almost everything assembled (only wheels left) so we did not need to spend much time assembling it.There are some minor defect (scratches and holes) but overall the quality looks good.

This was for my home office. It came already assembled except for the casters, so installation was quick and easy. Drawers have enough space to hold what I need. Perfect for the price and the look and design is great.
