Functional and sturdy
Excellent product! I recently used it on 2 pet kennels while traveling internationally. They were able to hold the water and food without spillage. Easy setup and removal. I think the design is functional and sturdy and this is important especially if the pet is stressed and moving around the kennel. My only regret was not buying a third one for my 3rd pet. I had bought a different kind that didn’t hold. Everything spilled even before the airline check in process began.

Better then I thought!
I purchased this for my dogs kennel and she loved it. It makes feeding time easy and neat when she is in her kennel. The quality and functionality is great.

Great size and sturdy, However in the small, the water fill feature is not flush and drips.

Great upgrade for air travel
This fits well on the front door of a Petmate intermediate plastic kennel suitable for airline travel. I had a black plastic dish that came with the kennel, which attached by hooking over the horizontal bars in the front door. However, one of the plastic hooks broke after the first use. Luckily I had purchased a backup for that trip. This dish is a MUCH BETTER upgrade. Please noted that the knobs for attaching it to the kennel screw off, revealing a post with a vertical gap in the middle. It took me a minute to realize this was designed for securing around/surrounding a vertical bar on the door, keeping it securet! Ingenious! (I wonder if folks that found the posts too large did not realize that they should attach them directly to the bars on the door, rather than between them?) In addition to being able to select the placement on the door (left vs center vs right, higher vs lower) - the posts are situated along a slot on the dish, so they can slide left/right to create the perfect spacing BETWEEN the bars on the kennel door. I used this to my advantage, sliding the dish far left, keeping it more in the corner to not obstruct my dog's face. The posts are a thick plastic, and with the knobs tightened, the two halves of the post are held secure. No breakage during 4 flights in our trip, and very pleased with the secure placement & durability of this product.

Doesn't fit International standard cat kennels / crates. Dog kennels / crates maybe okay.
International Air Transport Association (IATA) requirements specify certain dimensions for kennels / crates used in international animal transport. For cats, the mesh on the front doors and ventilation openings are specified to have welded wire mesh openings of no more than 3/4". The wire must be no thinner than 2-millimeters diameter (2-mm minimum thickness would be another way to think of it). Common industrial practices for constructing welded wire mesh is to base the size on center-to-center "pitch" of the wire mesh openings. So 3/4" welded wire mesh has holes that are actually a bit less than 3/4" in size. And therein lies the problem with this otherwise excellent product: the studs that are used to attach the cup to the welded wire mesh door are exactly 3/4" outside diameter of the thread points. So the attachment studs won't fit through the most commonly used welded wire mesh products for internationally compliant cat kennels / cat crates. The mesh for dog crates is larger and these cups should fit those fine. But you aren't allowed to use dog crates for international travel for cats... unless you fasten a layer of 3/4" welded wire mesh to the door and ventilation openings. It's all about safety: No one wants "Fluffy" to get an arm or paw through the mesh while cargo is being loaded. You never know what might happen. So, I do wish they made a version of this product with 18-mm studs. That is 1-mm smaller than the 19-mm / 3/4-inch studs on the current product. 18-mm should fit through the openings in standard 3/4" welded wire mesh just fine. I really like the anti-spill lip that surrounds the inner perimeter of the cup. I'm a bit busy now. But perhaps later I will try grinding four sides of the threaded stud's surfaces lightly (about 1/2-mm on each side) to get it to fit the square holes in the door mesh.

Great addition to pet care.
I’m thrilled with this product. I broke the original pet containers that came with my airline travel-sized carrier. I needed something fast and effective. The shipping was accurate: next day. I fixed the dual tray onto the crate in under a minute. The slots to fit to the crate can slide so this should fit most any crates. The water function is spectacular. As long as you don’t pour too much water or swing the door of the crate, it’ll be fine. My pet ate and drank from the container immediately.

Works with a little modification
I purchased this for a cross-country trip with my cat. I have a Petmate cage with a standard door, so no issues with the feeder fitting. The parts on the back move lateral so they can accommodate different cage bar spacing. However, if the cage bars are thick, the connectors will most likely break or just not fit. A complaint from reviews was that water got everywhere when trying to pour through the exterior portion - they are right. The part that allows the water to flow into the basin is too short once it's attached to the cage. I did a little modification and it worked perfect. I just wrapped scotch tape around each of the portions that deliver the water. It was just enough to get it over the lip of the bowl and into the basin. The adjustment was temporary but worked! I only needed this for a short period of time, but not sure how well it would hold up if used on a daily basis. BUT - it was great for 4 days of travelling 3800 miles and I"m keeping it for the next adventure!
