If you have pets, or glitter engrossed children. Get it.
This is the second Dyson we bought. The first one lasted a little over a decade. Worked great. We just moved and I wanted to upgrade back again after a cheap one that replaced it. We have a GSD shedding monster and a 19 lb Maine Coon mix who leaves dust buffaloes. Ok. No biggie. It has only been a week, right?Ha. The green light of truth illustrated that there is already a takeover of wavy hairs and dust buffaloes across this solitary landscape of hardwood floors. Fine. Almost as peaceful as mowing grass, I follow the nice green line and finish about 1800 sq ft with 20 minutes on the battery to spare. Btw. Did you know that in six days time, you can have litter in every corner of the house? Closets included. Hmmm. Well. All gone. Add in the amazing gift of slime with three glitter packets my 20 year old bestowed upon my 10 year old. I’m pleased to say, all enemies have been vanquished.I let the maniac cleaner rest. It kicks it up a notch when it encounters a dust buffalo. With good reason. It knows the battle has begun and intends to show dominance. Which it does. Fully rested and restored, I noticed some paw prints from the recent rains. Can’t be too bad because my socks are still pretty white… no. I attached the floor washing head. Wth. This can’t be. It has only been a week. My floors can’t be this dirty. This is a brand new home. Line after satisfying line of cleanliness.I dump the water and wipe down my new friend. I set it on its charging stand to hang in a place of importance. Together we will keep these dust/hair monsters at bay and never allow muddy prints to sully the floors of this palace.10/10. Highly recommend.

That bright green light is illuminating!
We recently replaced most of our carpeted floors with hardwood and wanted an upgrade from our very old Dyson animal vac. With two dogs that shed, using microfiber mops daily was just not cutting it, and using the attachments with the old vac seemed to take forever. I thought an upgrade could be a a better option.I liked the idea of a rechargable stick vac…much lighter to use and could be used even for quick cleanups. When I saw this one, I thought “ooh! A light to help me see where I’ve been!”. That light has now become both a blessing and a curse. The first time I used it, I was disgusted. I had just vacuumed the day before, and when I gave the one one a try, I was shocked by how much dog hair was on the floors that only seemed to show under that bright green light! Now I am obsessed with vacuuming. It really does help you find every tiny little piece of dust, and there are so many attachments to get that allow it to be used everywhere (car, furniture, walls, crevices, etc.). I also like that it’s so much quieter than our regular old Dyson, but still pretty powerful.

Don't walk, run - to buy this vacuum.
I replaced a Dyson 4th or 5th gen cordless vac with the new V15. We loved our Dyson until the motor started to hiccup and decided it was time to upgrade after over 10-12 years and getting a new, very furry friend. We have the Shark cordless pet vacuum for the carpet and used the Dyson for the wood floors. We've been happy with the Shark on carpet and how it doesn't get clogged with pet hair like the other many vacuums we've tried.Immediately at 1st use of the Dyson V15, I was amazed! This thing is AWESOME and puts the Shark to shame! The suction power is top notch. I can't use it on one of my rugs without holding the sides because it sucks the rug into the vacuum - that's a GOOD thing. Every room I vacuumed filled the reservoir - eww... but satisfying. The attachment that shows the micro particles through the green light is icing on the cake. I go through each room with the large anti-tangle attachment then again with the fluffy light attachment. That gets everything. It's weird and very adult of me to say, but this was the best present for myself - I LOVE to vacuum now.Get the V15!

DYSON DOES NOT PRIORITIZE THEIR CURRENT CUSTOMERS
Couple things here, the vacuum is great albeit expensive. The submarine (wet mop) attachment is just okay. If you understand what the actual function is then you will be fine with it. It doesn’t suck anything up but rather dispenses water/detergent and rolls. It’s fine for me because my main use is to do quick cleans on dog prints, etc. Don’t expect it to perform major cleans. If I was to grade the vacuum and attachments, 4.5 stars, minus a half star for price. I would give the submarine attachment 2.5 stars. However, the submarine attachment worked for a max combined time of 60 minutes, or roughly 3 months of use for me. Contacted Dyson support, went through all the troubleshooting and concluded that the submarine head would need to be replaced, free of charge, under warranty. Great. But no submarine heads are in stock, and they don’t know when they will be. Fast forward 4 months and there are still no submarine heads in stock, still don’t know when they will be. The issue I am having, and I have had this before with Dyson, is they DO NOT PRIORITZE THEIR CURRENT CUSTOMERS. The entire package was in stock on day 1 and has remained in stock this whole time. So yes, they are building and selling the submarine heads but only for people that are buying the whole package new. Apparently, it is not conducive to their profit scheme to set some of those units aside as spare parts to supply their CURRENT customers with replacement units. If you look through the reviews, the submarine head breaking early on in its life cycle is a known issue. What has Dyson done to resolve this? Nothing. So, I am left with the option to continue waiting an indefinite period of time or send my whole vacuum system into Dyson and once it is received in the warehouse and verified, they will send out a replacement unit. Sounds like the best case is 3 weeks without a vacuum. I use the vacuum everyday. When asked if they could send the replacement first, and then once received I would return the old unit, I was told this is impossible. They cannot do that. (Well yes they could, they just decided their policy would say they could not). I offered to give my credit card info and if it wasn’t returned in a set amount of time they could charge me until it was. Nope. Impossible.Dyson typically makes a great product, minus the submarine head that seems to have issues left and right. But I have NEVER been satisfied with their support.
