DEWALT Driver/Drill Bit Set with Carry Case, 65-Piece (DW2583)

DeWalt makes a tool for any kind of project you may have to do! I can tell you whatever the task, it is made alot easier by DeWalt. These are fantastic acessories that will do the job at hand plus a great addition to any toolbox. I tried too many brands to list before I found out just how dependable DeWalt really was. I now keep a DeWalt bag in both trucks but one in the garage for household jobs around the house!

This set has everything in it. I looked for a really long time to find one with this variety of tools (drill bits...) and also a durable case. It seemed like I could find a durable case but not the tools or vice versa. Very impressed. I bet the case could survive numerous 6ft falls. You will not be disappointed.

...and I don't like that. If I'm spending $60 on a set of bits, I want to immediately love everything about it. And with this, there are just a few things I'm not quite sure about yet:The first thing I did was pull out the magnetic tray. The magnet immediate fell off the back. Whatever adhesive was used, it didn't hold. So now I have to epoxy it. The set was $60 - that shouldn't happen. The magnet is covered in a rubber material, which is nice to avoid marring surfaces. So kudos on that.Next I tried to remove the top left case. Major pain in the butt. I get that they don't want it to fall out, but man it's in there way too tight.Next I tried to remove the spade bits by trying to slide them straight out of their spots. Wasn't happening. Not wanting to pull outward, I kept trying to slide them. No go. So I pulled one toward me and it came out. I don't know how long the tension clips will hold up under that kind of removal process though. Anyway, the process is the same for the other bits, including the drill bits. You've gotta pull the top of the bits toward you - they don't slide.The socket storage is nice - no issues there.The case is huge for what's included. That wouldn't be an issue for me if you could buy additional bit holders to slide in or somehow otherwise customize the case. But I don't see that offered anywhere which I think was a big oversight. A case you could customize would have been great.I dunno...I'm not thrilled with it like I am with most of DeWalt's stuff. I do like what's included in the kit, just not the design. They could have done better.All of that being said, I still think it's a decent deal and would buy it again. I just hope the bit holders hold up.

Great tool box if you are looking to have some of the more used tool bits in one box. The container is a little big but has a great carrying arm and allows you to put in other items if you feel the need. Although you would not have them secured and they will rattle around (talking about if you put extra tools inside the container)

My new go to. I bought two of these, great bargain compared to the smaller sets without all the bits. Use it daily. Only downside is the drill bits aren’t impact ready, while the rest of the kit is. Still very pleased.

I was really excited when I found this product because it looked like a way to bring all of my key drill parts together into one carrying case, but the truth is that it is yet half-baked package of random Dewalt parts stored in a very wasteful manner.The good- A very well built carrying case- A variety of impact resistant bits and drivers- A magnetic dish for keeping up with partsThe bad- Incredibly wasteful in terms of space. The included products could have been stored in something half the size.- No ability to expand. The interior of the box is designed with slots for flexibly reorganizing components, but there are no additional holders provided.- Poor storage sub-components. A lot of the interior is used up by small boxes for bits and sockets that hold little and waste space. The box with the sockets is extremely well built, but the supplied sockets are held inside using nothing more than cheap clear plastic like you would see in retail packaging.- Absolute erratic selection of bits and drivers. This felt like a Whitman Sampler, a little bit of everything, but not a lot of anything other than screwdriver bits and the things you get have bizarre gaps. For example, they give you a great selection of carbide drill bits ranging from 1/16 - 3/8 with widths down to a 64th and even provided two of the smaller, more prone to break, bits, but they skipped over 5/32 and 11/64. In Spade bits, they give 1/2, 3/4, and then 7/8 instead of the expected 1". For nutdrivers, you get 1/4 and 5/16, why not 1/2? At least the four sockets you get are sequential at the 16th.This was a great idea...just executed very poorly, and in the end, just another retail packaging gimmick rather than a proper accessory organizer.

I love having all my bits utilize in one location. I also like how customizable it is. It allows me to add components from other sets I’ve collected.

Got this for the hubby and he loves it. I feel like he is always reaching for this set. Glad to get another worthwhile gift.
