This Ymachray-branded universal body safety harness is quite impressive. At first I thought I was doing something wrong as it seemed small. Well it turns out I was doing something wrong in that I had it inside-out. Note to self the highly visible reflective tape would need to be on the outside for someone to see you at night :). In any case, once I got that sorted I was off to the races getting this harness on. After a few adjustments to the thigh area and waist, the harness felt pretty strong but not enough that it suffocated me or was uncomfortable. It just gave a sense of confidence that I would be supported if I slipped off of the roof or whatever I was working on. The included D-rings and hook accessories were also welcomed as these allow me to hang caribineers for tools, etc. while working. Overall, this is a very nice set that any person would and should be wearing to stay safe while working at high altitude even if that is just the roof on one's home. 5/5 stars are well-deserved for this kit.

I got this since I’m doing some work on my roof and I wanted to be a bit safer since the pitch of the roof is really steep and very tall. I already have ropes with the fall arrest locking mechanism. I just needed a harness to complete the kit. I’m about 74” tall and about 280lbs and have a 42” waist. It still fits me with some room to spare. This product contains 2 main parts: the Harness and the “lobster claw” rope set. Harness: This is made relatively nice. Its not the most comfortable harness in the world but it works for the infrequent times that I actually need to climb the roof. I have confidence in the build quality that it would keep me safe if I ever did fall. There is 4 quick connect clips that you use to put on / take off the harness (Chest, waist, left leg, right leg). Each of these connectors has an adjustable fitting to allow you to size it properly. There is also multiple attachment points for connecting your fall ropes. The waist has a padded belt to help with comfort (although its not that padded). There is a reflective material sewn into some of the straps, however I don’t feel like thit really helps with anything and the reflective material seems cheap. Personally I would have gone without it. Overall, for the price point, this is a really nice harness. Rope set – the rope set that is included feels really cheap. It has a lot of features, but it feels like they used the cheapest material available for it. There is 2 ropes that combine into 1 connection. The oval carabiner is a standard steel screw locking carabiner. It does have a force reducing strap built in. this strap is folded in an accordion style with light stitching. In the event of a fall the stitching tears out and thus absorbs some of the impact prior to fully extending. The Rope itself is safe, but it’s cheap. (don’t expect it to feel like a “black Diamond” brand rope). Its pretty stiff. The “lobster claws” are really thin and they attach to the rope through a bunch of plastic eyes. Having two ropes allows you to always have at least 1 rope connected if you have to transition between anchor points. Overall I know this rope set will work, I just wish they used a bit nicer components. However you can’t expect too much due to its low cost.

Once set up, the harness is comfortable and provides a strong sense of security, featuring multiple D-rings and both quick-release and traditional buckle options, which enhance the ease of use and safety during wear.

Years ago my husband fell off a ladder and was unconscious for a couple hours so when I saw this safety harness didn't hesitate to order it. Per his description: This is a sturdy harness that has an adjustable fit. There are straps under your legs, around your waist, and there are straps for your shoulders. All straps are adjustable making for a tight fit. Once you've adjusted it, you don't have to adjust it again. (Slight negative for my husband was there was lots of extra strap when tightened around his 168 lbs frame.) We added anchors to the house, and he can now attach into the anchors and know he has protection from falls. This is more convenient than a climbing harness because there are more D-rings on this harness where he can attach. (There are D-rings on the shoulders and waist on each side and one in the back by your neck.) The harness is pretty sturdy and heavy, but once it's on you don't notice it. There is a special rope included that's designed to absorb the energy in a fall, but it's very long so unless you're up about three stories, it's not going to deploy. This was comfortable enough to wear. Best feature: It will keep your wife from nagging when you climb ladders for those maintenance items around the home! Priceless! Recommend.

I have not used this yet, but it doesn't really matter to offer a review. Most of us hope to not need to ever use this to verify the actual function. I've purchased these for my companies in the past and used no more differentiation between this purchase and hose purchased in the past. Everything seems to be here to give me confidence they would support me if I fell. I'll be building large garage soon and will definitely be wearing it then. Since it can't report on the function, but rather the quality, I recommend you read the instructions that came with these AND please read fall harness usage guidelines as recommended by OSHA. If you don't thoroughly understand how a fall harness works, when it can be used and when it shouldn't stay off a roof. This harness should work well for my personal use.
