First off, they could have included a couple self-tappers to complete the install and deleted the mystery round plate that does absolutely nothing(wtf?). It fits pretty well and might require a little bending which is pretty easy to do by hand. I honestly expected to have to grind some edges to avoid rubbing, but didn’t have to. Looks great when installed and fits pretty good. I picked these because they didn’t have a cheesy design which is apparently hard to find on Amazon. Definitely could have used some washer for the tiny bolts. They included so many extra nuts that I used those as “washers” to prevent the bolts from pushing through. You’ll need a few self tappers and some washers to complete install.

These fit the Jeep, they look pretty good, but they rattle. I will have to modify them a little to get that to stop. They serve their purpose, and are light and affordable. However, if you want something a little more sturdy then look for something else.

I got these because the price point and material finally hit the right spot. The reviews were also really helpful so I knew what to expect. Because the price was low, I also picked up a rivet nut tool at harbor freight for this project and what turned out to be an other $40 of rivet nuts and m-5 screws because my wife wanted black hardware. I am satisfied with the product. But, on my 2008 Jeep Rubicon unlimited the produce is about 1/4 inch too short on the top/front corners. The gap is hardly noticeable, but I know it's there. Also on the drivers side, lower corner the cover seems like it needs another attachment point, but it's too short and there isn't enough metal on the body lip. If tapped the cover rattles on the body/frame, I did not hear it on the road though. I will probably just cut a little extension tab so that I can screw it down. Installation was not "easy." It required a little bit of skill as well as the right type of drill bits for the install. Make sure you have the right sizes and type. The aluminum product is easy to drill, gut the jeep, namely the radiator mount needs something harder than the easy to find "titanium." (I will be looking for a set of cobalt bits for this type of project." A helper would have been nice but I was able to finish the project in about 3 hours. I had to drill some extra holes in different locations due to previous modifications I had made. I will update this for long term after we run some trails too.

These were pretty easy to install and fit great. They are 2-piece and after you look at it for awhile, get it on the right side, test fit each half and line up bolt holes bolt the 2 halves together and install like that. The mysterious round silver aluminum piece lines up with those 3 holes on the forward half. It does look pretty black in there so this could brighten it up. If one was so inclined, they could paint it, etch it, CNC a cool design on it then put it on. I’ll probably have my vinyl decal lady cut me a cool logo or something to put on it.

Perfect fit. However, I did do some minor trimming around my aftermarket fenders. Easy to do since these are aluminum. I also used nutsert or rivet nuts on the backside to make install and future removal easier. Why spend hundreds on name brand, when these work perfectly?!
