Just as I remember it
Revisiting this project, as I built one 20 odd years ago, which ended up in a flight museum as I had nowhere to display. Hope to keep a hold of this one. The kit is as always from Tamiya, the best possible quality. Review is as much for the seller and service. Purchased from Gentle store in Japan, and arrived at my door in 7 days via Japan post, with not so much as a blemish on the box. tracked all the way by wonderful e-mail service (standard, not requested). Happy bear all round.

Fantastic kit but with some flaws.
I'm still in the process of building this but this is what I've discovered so far.This is a reboxing of an old kit so it is not up to Tamiyas usual standard for example the PD 51 Mustang of the F15 strike eagle.There are RAISED panel lines on various surfaces so you will need to sand and rescribe for panel detail.The cockpit is SAD and the kit provides decals of all things, I highly recommend Hannets Big Edd or an Aries and some scratch building.This model is Huge, check the dimensions as this will take up some serious space.Apart from these points I've encountered so far the rest of the kit is Tamiya quality stuff and with care and attention this can be turned into one of the best F14 Tomcats that money can buy IMHO.Trumpeter also do a Tomcat in this scale btw.
