Great quality
It is of such nice quality. The pages are smooth but have just a few sentences. There are some quotes in this which I love. There are paintings inside which are really lovely to look at. I’m 11 years old and I love reading books like these and the prices make me hesitate:) .

Simplicity at its finest.
I absolutely love the writing style of James Norbury. I loved the way he incorporated 'Big Panda & Tiny Dragon' in this version of finding your inner peace. The messages are simple and yet so profound. I absolutely loved every word I read.

I purchased this book as a graphic novel for our monthly zoom bookclub. I purchased first the kindle edition but kindle does nothing to represent the beauty of this book the flow in kindle is wonky and disjointed Buy the actual book for the colours and illustrations are superb in the actual book The proverb are relatable to both adults and to children as a teaching tool for living a mindful and full life you will not be disappointed with the hard copy of this book …its perfect for life time of use especially as a coffee table book. …worth every penny….im now going to buy his first book about the panda !

I bought Norbury's earlier book, "Big Panda and Tiny Dragon" a few years ago when it was released and was enthralled by the quality of the pictures and the delightful text. When I saw Norbury had a new volume out, "The Cat Who Taught Zen" I ordered a copy as soon as I saw it. Although this is totally subjective, I will say that "The Cat Who Taught Zen" is even better than "Big Panda", and I wouldn't have thought that was possible. The illustrations are a joy to look at and the text is precise and educative. This is a book for all ages. A joy to read and a book that I will re-read many times. I buy a lot of books and have to say this is one of the nicest I have bought for a long time. Would make a lovely gift - but even better to treat yourself and buy it just for you to enjoy.

James Norbury's "The Cat Who Taught Zen" is a delightful and insightful book that elegantly combines simplicity with profound philosophical insights. While the narrative is straightforward and easy to read, it offers a depth that resonates long after the last page is turned. The story revolves around a wise and serene cat who imparts Zen wisdom to its human companion. Through a series of gentle and thoughtful lessons, the cat encourages readers to appreciate the present moment in life and to fully give themselves to it. This central theme is beautifully illustrated through the cat's actions and reflections, making complex Zen philosophies accessible and relatable. One of the book's greatest strengths is its ability to convey deep ideas in an uncomplicated manner. Norbury's writing is clear and unpretentious, allowing the wisdom of Zen to shine through without the need for elaborate explanations. This simplicity is both refreshing and powerful, making the book an excellent introduction to Zen for readers of all ages and backgrounds. The book's message of living in the present moment is particularly poignant. In our fast-paced, often hectic lives, the cat's teachings serve as a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and savor the here and now. By fully immersing ourselves in the present, we can find greater peace and fulfillment, a lesson that is both timeless and timely. Overall, "The Cat Who Taught Zen" is a charming and thought-provoking read. James Norbury has crafted a book that is not only enjoyable but also deeply enriching. Whether you are new to Zen or a long-time practitioner, this book offers valuable insights that can enhance your daily life. It is a testament to the power of simplicity and the importance of mindfulness, making it a highly recommended read for anyone seeking a bit of wisdom and tranquility.
