This shake is like chocolate milk, and in terms of protein and carbohydrate (in the form of added sugar) is almost identical. In light of that, something like Nesquik is a great, cheaper alternative. Nesquik has some added vitamins and minerals, as does this product.Nesquik contains added Vitamin C, Thiamin, Vitamin D, Calcium, Phosphorus, Iron, and Zinc, whereas this shake contains Vitamin D, Niacin, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Riboflavin, and Calcium. Both products contain good quantities of these nutrients.I'll continue to use both products. What pleases me about both products is that they contain no Maltodextrin, which causes me gastrological distress. It should be noted, however, that the powdered version of FOR GOODNESS SHAKES RECOVERY does contain Maltodextrin.In any case, I an recommend this particular product. It is best enjoyed cold, but you can store it at room temperature as long as the seal is intact, but once opened must be consumed within the standard period and refrigerated.
