Will this work for a 2001 dodge ram?

It should , if you have a " FLAT WIRE 4 PRONG " trailer wire plug on your truck . My 2012 Ram 2500 has a factory hitch assembly with both wiring applications . I had to buy a "4 PRONG " extender from AMAZON to hook it up . Hope this helps . GOOD LUCK !!!

Does the hitch cover work with the signal lights ?

It ONLY lights up when truck lights are on, Brakes are applied (brighter), Hazard lights are on (blinks with). DOES NOT blink when you apply L/R blinkers Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what size pin. However i have a normal size hitch and this fits standard I believe and may be able to fit in larger as it comes with some wedges and a couple of plastic brackets to fit around if I remember correctly. If you don't want an ugly wire over your rear bumper I suggest getting a wire lug extension to keep your rear plug stock but allow for it to extend underneath and tie wrap the wiring behind the bumper.

Will this fit for a 2011 ram 1500 longhorn Laramie?

If your 2011 had a 4 pin plug & trailer hitch....then yes it will work. If you don't have a 4pin, then you'd need an adapter (4 pin to round). I had to buy an extension because '22 model plugis higher up on bumper

Absolutely love it, only issue but I had read the reviews first, is the wire is too short so you need to buy a extension, but I knew that ahead of time

Product requires improvement

For RAM Rebel 1500, model 2023, the power cord is too short. I have to buy an extension to properly run the power harness. Instruction manual also refers to a locking pin but there is none in the box and need to find one myself. It would be better if right cable length as well as locking pin is included.
