I'm impressed with how many I got! I will be planting them within the next few weeks, at which point I'll update this review. Im looking for planting a few on my property, so germination will be important to me. I'm not sure what people are purchasing these for, but if you're purchasing for germination/permaculture be sure to plant these away from most other trees and vegetable gardens because they send a chemical out of their roots to inhibit/kill other trees to ensure its survival.

I first put these out for the squirrels, waited to see how they'd respond. They were eating the in-shell peanuts I had been giving them and the birds, but THEN, one of them saw the walnuts, grabbed one, and off her ran to cherish and gnaw to his heart's content. These don't last long in the feeders. They are such a hit. So I bought the 5 lb bag this time. Thank you for making these available. I've become the talk of the wildlife town in these parts, thanks in part to you!

Advertising about 20nuts for 1lb,I counted 27in the package (Awesome).varying sizes from medium to HUGE(Golfball weight)but look great.my Squirrel Ozzie grabbed the first one offered and turned&turned to smell it all over; then ran up to his spot(my bookcase) and has begun gnawing/grinding that sucker open (it might take awhile).I think these are a winner for him.great price for the amount given.i will continue to purchase for my little man.THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Walnuts had bland taste and seemed to be from a harvest long ago. I would rate them the lowest grade of produce. I bought them to feed squirrels not for personal consumption---however, I would have preferred a higher quality nutritional value for my furry friends.............I bought by automatic delivery, which was not honored - in that they delivered 3 orders in 6 weeks when I had ordered once a month. Correcting the error was a hassle and took 3 tries to effect, but, in disgust, I cancelled.

Advertised 2018, got 2017 as per label. Also marked "For cooking." While shells were well filled out, the meat had small slit-like hollows in them.These were seriously lacking the beautifully strong taste and texture that one expects from black walnuts.Not a good product. As stated, the listing claimed 2018 harvest, the label said 2017, but I believe that these may be older than even that, or perhaps they were subjected to a drought.I am very disappointed in this product and seller.

These look nothing like any High John TC Root I’ve ever used. Had to double check with my Papa because I needed the specific root to conjure the essence of High John and my Papa agreed this isn’t it. The root is supposed to resemble shriveled up testicles.

These walnuts have to opened with a HAMMER! Not a nut-cracker and not a rubber mallet, a hammer! They do taste good, but it’s tough to get to and can make quite a mess. *Safety glasses recommended.

I ended up getting these from a different nursery, as these were dried up..
