I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. Takes it over to his friends and has whiskey and cigars. It infuses a good flavor into the whisky and my husband thinks it's alot of fun.

My husband loved this gift. It works really well for the perfect smoky drink.

The first one we received, the mini torch would not fill properly. Could only heat for 10 seconds. Tried many times to get the air out. A new kit arrived and the torch works great. The smoker works fine. Drinks turn out great. The only problem is the cap expands after several uses. Had to grind down the edge to get to fit. All works fine now. Love the box it came in. Very nice presentation.

I went through a Cocktail Smoker phase, wanting everyone to have a kit. This one I ordered for me and my husband. As compared to 3 other kits of varying price and contents, this one was: 1- Moderately priced; 2- Nicely Packaged and very giftable; 3- Contains 4 interesting flavors - Apple; Cherry, Pear & Oak and the wooden topper has a 6 holes to allow the smoke to enter the glass. The torch has 3 flames - although it is sleek and fits comfortably in your hand it is of plastic which makes it feel somewhat cheap. The 3 flame torch is great, BUT it doesn't shut off automatically when you release your finger from the trigger - which I almost burn my hair when I removed it from igniting the wood chips - it stays on way too long - so you really have to be careful when using. The other downside is that the wood chips are in plastic -as compared to 3 other kits I tested that were either in Glass or Tin. Not sure in the long term of storing the chips it makes a difference, but even cheaper kits had glass containers. There is a great little user manual included to get you started. It also includes a gold colored spoon for scooping out and easily placing it into the screened smoker top without overloading it, 3 whiskey stones to freeze and tongs for placing and removing. It is very giftable and includes a greeting card to personalize. I do like it and makes a nice addition to our liquor serving display for dinner parties and events.
