Unicorn Overlord - Standard Edition (PlayStation 5)

Fantastic game, I read that the game was decent but wasn't sure if it was my cup of tea but I got hooked once I started to play. What I particularly liked was that the missions are short, you could save, and continue at any point, so you could play for a few mins to hours. There's also lots of depth to the tactics with the different classes, traits, skills, weapons, armour, accessories, and items. Art style is excellent as always with Vanilla Ware, have been a fan since Muramasa Demon Blade on wii and this game didn't disappoint. Highly recommended

Nice game with excellent combat mechanics but average story

I’m going to say it now that I think Unicorn Overlord is going to become a cult classic. Talked about as one of the best sRPGs of all time. For me, it’s the best on the Switch surpassing Triangle Strategy, Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle. Story is gripping and the artwork and music is just incredible. Not mention is fun to watch battles play out!

The game arrived factory sealed and in perfect condition physically! It featured such a dynamic gameplay with a unique twist on 2.5D art style, it combines sprite characters in a modern 3D environment for an excellent contrast, it works really well! The story is lengthy (In a good way - of course), offering around 30+ hours of gameplay if you aim to complete all side quests and missions, whilst immersing yourself in each character’s perspective and exploring the vast map. Great game, I'd recommend giving this a try if the triple A games aren't your forte.

It's like fire Emblem but with real time battles and the art style from 13 Sentinels. Alot of polish and thought put in, UI is beautifully animated, as are sprites both in combat and in cutscenes. Perfect for on the go as you can save mid battle and story is split into short skits. Overall a great RPG that respects your time with satisfying depth to the combat and world building. Seems to be low on the anime tropes even though it has the art style (I like that sort of stuff so a small disappointment for me). So I would recommend to anyone who likes tactical rpg's, not just jrpg's

Good tactic game from last year missed when it first came out but enjoying it now, good story too

I don't normally like RTS games but this is great. Some minor niggles e.g. a defeated unit continues to attack instead of cancelling its movement, but overall a fantastic game.

This game is a certified classic from the ever popular Atlus team. A very accessible RPG/RTS that goes as deep as you want it to. Beautiful artwork and animations, huge map, meticulous and deep gameplay with so many ways to create your builds for your units on the battlefield. If your a noob you can play on easy mode or seasoned players can play on harder difficulties and reap the rewards with better equipment, armour etc.

J'ai acheté un import anglais, sur la boîte (en anglais) il est indiqué que le "software" est en français (donc le jeu). Le jeu est bien en français. Concernant le jeu, j'adore ! Un mélange entre advance war , might and magic. Les graphismes sont super, l'histoire est vraiment prenante.

Un RPG muy entretenido, con mucho contenido y visuales agradables. Espero que hagan más juegos así. Recomiendo jugar con voces japonesas, ya que el doblaje inglés suena un poco raro.

je suis ravi de mon achat. Visuellement, c’est une claque. Vanillaware fait encore des merveilles : les sprites sont sublimes, les animations soignées, et chaque décor est digne d’un tableau. Rien que pour ça, le jeu vaut le détour. Côté gameplay, c’est du pur bonheur si vous aimez la stratégie. Il y a énormément d’unités à recruter, d’équipements à gérer, et la carte du monde est immense. J’adore le système de batailles en temps réel où il faut bien préparer ses formations à l’avance. Ça peut paraître un peu complexe au début, mais une fois qu’on a compris, c’est ultra satisfaisant. L’histoire est assez classique (royaume à sauver, trahisons, etc.) mais bien racontée, et les personnages sont attachants. Mention spéciale à la bande-son, magnifique, qui colle parfaitement à l’ambiance héroïque du jeu. Franchement, si vous aimez les jeux tactiques avec une direction artistique incroyable, Unicorn Overlord est un must-have. Pour moi, c’est un des meilleurs jeux de stratégie de ces dernières années !

Great strategy game with amazing characters. I always feel relaxed playing it. Vanillaware knows how to create the most enjoyable playing experiences with amazing art and captivating storytelling.
