OU12-A Soprano Ukulele. Natural Mahogany

This Oscar Schmidt ukulele looks good and sounds even better. There were so many to choose from I must have looked at 200 of them before I chose this one. It wasn't overly expensive and was made by a well known company with a good reputation. I use a clip on tuner because it needs to be tuned every time I pick it up. If I had one negative comment it would be the tuning issue. Of course, that may be perfectly normal so I'm still satisfied with my purchase.

It is a good bargain for entry level user. If you are advanced get something with better tuners or it will drive you nuts!

I have several Oscar Schmidt ukes, and each is great in its own right... this little soprano I bought for a beginner's gift. I had so much fun with it, I bought TWO MORE; ONE OF WHICH I KEPT! Though I have other brands, O/S always sounds good, has low action(s) and STAY IN TUNE!!

I own this and the Kala Ka15. The OU12 has much lower action [strings are closer to fretboard], better tone, and stays in tune better. Plus it is inexpensive enough [relatively] that I don't feel too precious about taking it out to the beach, parties, etc. I am a minimalist and I don't believe stuff will make you happier... Until I got this uke. It definitely makes me happier.

One metal piece came loose and doesn’t hold the string tightly

In the past I have bought cheap Ukuleles because I've been learning and didn't know if I'd stick with it. While I still consider myself a bit of a hack, this Uke is a step up enough for me to really love practicing. I named him Bastian.

Two of my adult sons have Oscar Schmidt Uke and love it! They said the quality is superior than the other ones they have.

Great little ukulele. Not too expensive but not cheap. Good sound. I did buy an extra set of strings at a local music store to get advice on good ones.

I own several tenor Oscar Schmidt's and wanted a soprano for travel. This little guy surprised me because it has a beautiful full sound. It is not "plinky" sounding like most this size. It has a wonderful resonance and sounds lovely. It is easy to play and very comfortable. I can't put it down.
