These scissors are nice and sharp and do a great job on the coats of my two yorkies. I have purchased less expensive scissors in the past and the old saying that you get what you pay for it true. These scissors were a little more expensive, but definitely worth it.

These are super sharp, yet feel safer to use thanks to the rounded ends. I have a long haired cat that gets knots behind her front legs (which can be painful to brush, or worse yet if not removed). This set was exactly what I needed to keep the fur trimmed and my girl neat and healthy.

They won't cut through the mats we have to deal with. I can now cut around some areas with a little more confidence that I'm not going to cut the animal and ruin our trust. The larger pair of scissors are slightly curved and both pairs have rounded tips like bandage scissors do. With the curve angling the tips away from the cat, we should be able to get into more places as time goes. Was hoping to work from the outside of the mat toward the cat, but that isn't going to work with any scissors I've tried including these.

Was surprised how well these worked. I'm kind of clumsy and my cat's persnickety so I had real doubts about whether these would work to get out rather massive mat of fur on her back. I had tired other scissors that weren'tstrong enough to make a dent. However, while these don't look that strong they really do work and totally safely. It didn't seem to hurt her in any way, but since she only was still for short periods in letting me do it, I did it very gradually a bit a day, but after about 10 days it was totally gone. She's a very furry Maine coon looking cat and her under hair and top hair just seemed to have gotten totally matted on much of her back. The best part was I never felt nervous or that I was in any way endangering her as I might with other scissors, and she didn't seem to feel anything. If I gave her treats and she was focussed on that , she didn't even seem to notice I was cutting. If she were overall a calmer cat I probably could have done it all in much shorter time. I do recommend these.

Things are great scissors. They are sharp, but the blunt tip is a great way to safely trim my cat’s hair.
