Yes, there's an app for iOS, you can see all your files, images, etc.

Alot of reviews say you can Backup all file types (pdfs, jpgs, ppt, etc...) while others say you can only back up pictures and videos. Please Clarify!

You can auto-backup pictures and videos. You can copy anything you like to it using your computer.

I have this hd but i can not figure out how to make the pc read both drives it only wants to read 8tb instead 16tb

What Format are the drives in? What OS do you have? Go into STart> Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Manager and look to see in this menu, what devices it's seeing as storage.

Does this come with the hard drive or do you need to purchase separately?

It does have a hard drive inside. But if you want something that auto syncs files and folders whenever they are modified, it doesn't support that feature. It is just a hard drive accessible over internet. I hope the answer helps.
