I'm not sure what's wrong frankly. I have two docking stations. I bought this one from home and carry a mini dock in my bag for when I am working remotely or in the office where the pc doesn't have a dock. This dock worked amazingly for the first 6 months, but now, it refuses to detect my monitors. I have no problem using my other docking station via Thunderbolt or another one using USB-C Will reach out to the company to see if they have any tips, but at the moment, regretting this purchase.

Product only charges surface pro - no other connections to monitor, type c devices, or USB functions.Product is a great idea for those of us who have to deal with the strange Microsoft power connection. This devise charges my laptop (Surface Pro 5) great, but none of the connects off the hub work at all. Additionally, I find that the male end of the connection plugs to not fit well into the female receptacles on the hub.

This 12 in 1 Microsoft Surface Dock, Triple Display Surface pro Docking Station, is a good deal and works very well for my surface Pro 3.

BUYER BEWARE- I received a damaged, pre-used item instead of a new one. Sadly, I didn’t open it in time over the holidays and just missed the return period. This sucks. DO NOT BUY.

Dock worked for approx. 6 months then started glitching. Unit will get alarmingly hot and drop connection if you're running two HDMI monitors. This causes issues with video calls and workflow in general. As soon as you plug it in, Windows will give you a battery error the unit is providing a slow charge. I initially thought this was due to it not being an official Microsoft product, but I now believe the dock itself is underpowered. I bought a real Microsoft dock and the power cord is far thicker, so far no problems.Lasted just long enough until I'm outside of the return policy. Do yourself a favor and don't but this cheap junk.
