Usual quality item from Optimate
Bought this to leave permanently on the car to make it easier to top up the battery during the winter months. This lead has a LED light strip on it which tells you at a glance what the battery state of charge is.The lead is robust and it comes with a velcro strap to help pin the head unit to something rather than have it flapping about on top of the battery.Quality piece of kit.

Love this, indicates battery voltage on my new bike, which is often left unridden for a week, flashes also looks like an alarm LED, easy connection to the optimate and ticks away neatly

Perfect battery monitor.
Not my first Optimate product, I have had the Optimate 3sp motorcycle charger since 2008 - so can attest to the quality, and longevity. (black charger on the right)So before coronavirus lockdown - I decided it was time to upgrade it and get the Optimate 5 start/stop (as the wire had started splitting on my old charger from where I have shut it in windows and doors over the years) & get one for my Landrover Defender that would be sat for months..I bought this attachment and hardwired it to the battery so I can monitor that battery (the Defenders battery is under the passenger seat so I am able to see the monitor cable) and it does a good job.

Ideal replacement
Only temporarily fitted seams to work. I would not fit it in view of the rider when riding the flashing would be distracting but I’ll have it visible when off the bike.
