Good produkt. Wires still push electricity through so this is helpful. Bought this to hook up to Raspberry Pi GPIO board. Works great. Make sure to buy the male connectors for even more fun.

Bought these instead of individual jumpers because you get 10 colors instead of 4 or 5 with the individual jumpers. Can be easily separated into any width you want. This makes building small cables much easier. I remove the black connector housings and put the pins in a larger housing that is the correct size for whatever connector I'm creating a cable for. The colors make it easy to get everything connected up correctly on both ends.

The wires work great, but as a heads up, the plastic heads are about a half inch long. Also, the wires are smelly. Like, really smelly. I'm not sure if it's the paint they used or the way they're manufactured, but even after being out of their packaging for about a month now, they still smell. I guess that could be considered a feature if you want to know if your cables are nearby, but be warned that they smell.

I'm happy to see jumper wire available again. I used to get stuff like this in big spools, and it's invaluable for quick electronics tests, experiments, and general hardware debugging. Then whoever made the spools stopped making them, and I was unable to get more for years. Having the jumpers on a ribbon cable is in some ways better than the spool, since I can pull off a handful at a time for groups of adjacent pins. The spool format came in handy when I needed to connect three or more pins together, but that's just a minor issue.

Can be separated into single strands. No dead cables as reported by other reviewers. Probably more than I'll ever need but still paid less than for comparable options

Cable seems well made. It consists of a standard 40 conductor ribbon cable that you can separate as needed.The bag the cable came in came taped together and it is obvious it was accidentally scored with a knife. The cut is deep enough to score some of the cable
