What does it mean to preheat for 5 minutes? Does that mean to press the blank first for 5 minutes then press the image on?

I didn't preheat them but make sure your press is heated before you press on the image. So put your sublimation blank on your pad then put your image on the blank. Make sure to you us the correct tap to hold the image in place on the blank, then Press the blank holding the press down for the 5 minutes. Carefully remove the blank from the pad with the image. Let cool then remove the image your image will be on the blank.😊

Do you have to use a sublimation printer to print pictures?

You can use a sublimation printer to printout designs or a printer that can be converted for sublimation ink. Or you could also use Infusible ink sheets and bypass a sublimation printer altogether. Hope that helps. I have only used a sublimation printer for these.

Is there a template available?

No but a template is not difficult to make with one of the many programs available. It's just a rectangle. Literally can do any design as long as you print to size
