SteelSeries Alias USB Microphone

Really great microphone! I use it for gaming and using comms through discord. It works really well and is very clear. The app that it wants you to use with it isn't the best though. It has tons of options but even if you go through and try to dial in those options to an insane degree you still can't get it to be good enough to cancel out background noise terribly well.

I hate headphones, so I have always preferred a mic. The noise cancellation is impressive. I typically listen to music at about 70 dB, and the mic hears me clearly. The software thoroughly filters out the music and ambient noise to the point that I hear nothing but my own voice. The build quality is sleek and modern, with just enough RGB to not be excessive. It is pretty much plug and play to set it up, so it is very easy to set up and use, plug in, and the software download is simple. I would say the mic itself isn't going to print out a symphony, but to normal ears like mine, it's better than enough to get the job done for a gamer. Overall, I got it for a discount of $150, which I think is a good price for it. Normal pricing seems worth it too, if you consider the extraordinary software that is free to download, you technically don't even need the hardware to use the software.

Great microphone, though the initial setup with the mic stand is a bit confusing, this is by far the most durable, price efficient, quality-sounding AND good looking microphone I've bought. I don't think I'll need to upgrade till this thing breaks, and when that happens, I'll buy another one.

The alias is a good quality microphone that is easily plug-in. Played the important thing to note is that if you want to use the other features that it offers you’ll have to download steel series Gg which is their third-party application to control any and all steel series devices. If you have a boom arm, I recommend setting the microphone to boom arm mode this way It doesn’t pick up all of the little bumps that you make on your desk when recording. Broadcast setting is good if you want clear podcast quality audio and for the game mix just pick your favorite game and it’ll automatically adjust for you. Also, make sure that when you first click sonar that you choose the little slider at the bottom to either be fully near the controller icon if you wanna hear more of the game or fully toward the little chat bubble, if you wanna hear your friends or other players in game.

Good quality mic , difficult to use the Steelseries app. The app is super complicated . Noise canceling is really good once you learn how to navigate to the app. The thing that made this rating a 4 star is that the app forces the mic to go into default mode for headphones when in fact I’m using IEM’s that are combined with IFI Dac/ Amps and at time while playing online my friends tell me that I sound muffled when talking to to the mic and I end up going into my game settings or pc sound settings not to see that it’s set to Steelseries output . The mic is great but the app is horrible and you are forced to use it if you need noise backround canceling

Absolutely love the design and quality. Easy to plug and play. Good weight and recoding quality as well as sound. Everyone I game with says it’s easier to hear me with no static and very clear. Glad I upgraded to this.

I love this mic for streaming, So much better than the Blue Yeti I started with. I use this with my SteelSeries Arctis 9 headset and love them both together. Would buy again but don't feel like I'd need to anytime soon. The quality is awesome.

The audio quality of this microphone is an amazing value. I was concerned at first because of the price I originally was going to go for a cheaper option, but now that I have it I'm super happy I went this way. All of my friends were shocked at how amazing I sounded. You just take it right out of the box and plug it in with the included type c cable and you're good to go, super simple setup. I absolutely love the LED choices with the mute button and tasteful rgb on the bottom which gives it a professional look without compromising style. The on device gain controls are also nice and the associated software is nice as well for adjusting noise gate sensitivity and such.

Excelente produto

Great microphone, steep price. I have been a steelseries fan for years and the Steelseries Alias microphone is amazing. The microphone comes with a shock free base to limit the noise of your surroundings and noise from your desk. You can buy a microphone arm to attach to the Alias for extra movement. The alias is great for what it’s worth and Steelseries has developed an app for all their products to bring out their full potential. The Alias heavily depends and benefits from Steelseries GG (their app) since to bring out its noise cancellations or adjustments beyond the dials. Without the app it lacks behind in ANC but in general the Steelseries Alias is a great microphone that you can use on all platforms. I actively use it on my PlayStation despite not having access to Steelseries GG since my PC is out of commission for repairs. All and all I recommend this microphone to everyone who can fit it in their budget range. Steelseries is a company built by quality and is here for the community (even if their products are a little pricey) you are paying for guaranteed quality

Muy buen microfono que puedes configurar por medio de su aplicacion (Solo disponible esta opcion en windows). Yo recomendaria evitar grabar en lugares con mucho eco, fuera de eso, excelente calidad, muy satisfecho con mi compra.
