Crystacal R, is a harder type of Plaster of Paris a white plaster used where high strength and surface hardness are important in general retail goods giftware and modelling applications. A step up from Herculite 2 giving a denser cast and a better surface finish Setting time is 5 -25 minutes, slightly longer drying time in slip moulds but greater detail. Suitable for life-casting with care, can be painted with acrylic paints (for example). For other plasters you may want to consider the softer Fine Casting Plaster, or Herculite 2, or even Crystacast which is even harder used for the casting a creation of serious ornaments albeit at a price.
