I’ve bought a few pump and filters from APS they’ve all been great and long lasting. This does the job and is good value,might have to upgrade to a bigger one though if my fish get any bigger. I have a 800 gallon pond with a mix of koi and shubunkins and this is keeping it clear.

Product arrived in time, good outer packaging. Other than needing 3 pin plugs and Jubille clips, set up was easy and had it running in 10 minutes. It says it can't be closer than 2 meters to the pond unless buried so would be good to understand why or how close it can be if buried. Had it running for 2 days so far so can't comment on longevity.

I originally purchased a Hoselock Easyclear 3000 for my pond which is 1500 litres and has five small goldfish. It should have coped without a problem according to the spec. Maybe it was the weather this year but it failed to cope dismally. Despite cleaning the pump every two days the pond was soon thick with green algae. So I purchased the All Pond Solutions PEC5000 kit. Absolutely fantastic result. Withing three days I had clear water to a depth of 11 inches and it is still working hard at the remainder. It is easy to set up and easy to clean the filters with the rotating handle. The Hoselock is relegated to being an ornamental feature.

It’s the first time I’ve used a pump and filter kit on this scale. I have a 3500 litre pond and believe this PFC 5000 pump and filter kit to be sufficient for my needs. The operating instructions are a wee bit basic, but I suppose for anyone who is familiar with this type of set up will find it easy to work out.... Up to now it appears to be working well. I have a raised walled pond with around a 1,1/2 mtr lift to a waterfall that produces a good flow of water. The filter is sat next to the pond and the pump itself has been placed on a raised support of bricks about 6” off the pond floor. The pond water is very clear up to now, however I did have a major clean out before I ran the system. I’ve found the 5 mtr hose supplied to be barely long enough for my own particular set up, so had to purchase a further 5 mtr role to be comfortable.... Up to now find this to be a good decision, but time will tell if I’ve made the right choice!?

I struggled to open the filtration unit, but once I did this was easy to assessable. I found the instructions confusing and looked on YouTube for ideas, which help and I had up and running in no time. The water now runs so clear I can see thr messy bottom I need to clean. My pond is nearly 5 foot at the deepest. The fish are happy, it's relatively easy to maintain. I would like some more information about removing and cleaning filters. But will look on line.
