Excellent shoe polish and also used to rejuvenate small bench (without painting mess!)
Perfect "brown" color for an old pair of SAS loafers to bring them back to life. I also used this polish to "shine and rejuvenate" a small wooden bench I have. Sounds strange but it made the bench look wonderful--and I didn't have to use paint and make a big mess.

Brand name is deceiving
You see "salty fish" and immediately think this is going to be a typical stinky polish. It actually has a nice citrus scent. I have a purse that is leather, but has a print on it. The background is white while the print is rather colorful, so I did test on the bottom corner. The white did not yellow and the colors did not bleed or smudge with it. It went on smoothly and appeared to soak into the leather well. I have not taken it out and about in rain or otherwise to test the abilities, but thus far, I'm hoping it keeps my bag looking new.

Great Results!
Ok, I was expecting old-school waxy shoe polish. So I was surprised at the liquidity of the product. Grateful for the applicator! What a pleasant surprise with the outcome! Easy to apply! My boots look fabulous! So I tried it on my old weathered pair of Blundstone boots. What a difference! They look awesome too! The leather looks and feels better! Virtually odorless with quality results! PS. Washes off hands easily!!

Definitely recommended
Easy to apply, gives a nice shine to the leather it last long enough that I don’t have to use it two days in row

Great for bringing back suppleness and richness to black leather products.
For my purposes this worked great. I really only wanted to recondition the leather on a few black leather bags, a motorcycle jacket, and a few pairs of boots. But then I was on a roll and wanted to condition everything 😂 I wasn’t looking for shiny and perfect or for the items to look new. I was hoping it would bring back some suppleness and richness in color and that exactly what it did 👍🏼 Especially to my favorite purse that got a bit crunchy after being left outside in the sun and rain, and doused with ant spray 🫠I did wear gloves and used a paintbrush to get into any nooks & crannies. The included sponge works well but did start to detach from its backing but did not deteriorate. I then used a rag or soft paper towel to buff each item. I’ll likely switched to cut up dish sponges + rags. I was happy it covered up the very worn areas, which I’m sure will wear back down again but as is the nature of frequently used boots, bags, etc. Probably not ideal for shiny leathers but it did work well on a pair of faux leather boots.Quickly dried with no transfer. Haven’t tested the waterproofing ability which would only prove itself on the gortex of one pair of boots as leather is generally pretty waterproof or resistant. Haven’t yet tried on suede but would like to see if it could help with water resistance for my suede chelsea boots.

Good quality, good value
Item was as expected. Creamy texture & easy to apply. Came with its own applicator which was great. Made the purchase for a couple pair of motorcycle boots. Took care of the scuffs nicely. Overall good value for the money.

Useless on certain leathers.
To start it off the container leaked just as many others have mentioned in previous reviews. It may be petty and minor but I hate the sponge applicator provided. I couldn’t really get a proper grip and kept getting the polish on my hand. The stiff backing needs to be thicker and more ergonomic. In my opinion a bad design. I feel that this product probably works on many types and finishes of leather. The label does state that it does not work on oiled leather. Not sure if my wife’s boots are oiled leather but it was useless on them (and yes the boots are genuine leather). These boots are high quality leather with a very smooth and highly polished finish. After applying this product and polishing the boot it felt sticky. I took the boot over to the sink and thankfully was able to wash the polish off. I may have done something wrong but I’ve treated many work and outdoor leather boots with great success. As far as polishing boots is concerned as part of my uniform I polished boots very often for the better part of a decade so it’s not like I’ve never done it. I’m not happy with the results of this polish on these particular boots.
