Reading all the comments of people complaining say things like they only lasted 2 years and now they don’t stay charged or they stopped working and so on but I’ve had mine for 3 years so far and it’s I love it battery lasts me for days before having to recharge it. I always use the Ultimate Ears App and it works awesome. The app tells you the battery percentage, allows you to change the equalizer, turn it off and on and control the volume and connect more than one. I use my hyperboom at my camp to play music or Bluetooth connect 2 of them to my tv for surround sound. I got mine on a Black Friday deal for only $224 I hope they go on sale again so I cann get 2 more. The only thing I wish was it would go a little louder. But other than that definitely deserves 5 stars and well worth buying. I recommend buy the carrying case. For those who have problems it’s usually user error that creates the problems.

Excellent quality and sound! Have had lots of Bose and the smaller UE Boom and this is a massive upgrade. Option was the big Sonus and opted for the UE as connectivity is straight forward without the Sonus app issues! Super pleased with the purchase - great speaker Even better if tandem with 2 linked!

Given the size and price of this amplified speaker, I was expecting something much better. I’m especially surprised by all the very good and constructive reviews. I feel this speaker unquestionably falls short in sound quality. It does appear to be well made and feels like a quality product. The one thing it’s meant to do, is to play music and fill medium to large spaces with authority — especially with its size and power amplification compared to other portable Bluetooth or smart speakers. I found the bass to be muddy and distracting—even after adjusting the EQ levels. It’s like a low-end home theatre subwoofer that stands out like a sore thumb, rather than completing the frequency range with any coherency. The whole tonal balance is very off kilter. To my ears, it sounds as if certain frequencies are missing altogether. I streamed HD music on Tidal and Qobuz that I know very well, and it sounded different in an unpleasant and fatiguing way. I can’t decide if this is due to the hardware limitations, or the default EQ settings. I was not able to get this to sound right using the EQ adjustments, so I assume the former. So, if the purpose is to fill a large, crowded, and otherwise noisy space (keg party) with boomy sounds — it does the job. If you’re considering this as a patio speaker to enjoy casual listening, it will likely disappoint.

Two of these speakers in stereo are surprising! For such small speakers big soundstage, room filling crystal clear, well controlled Low frequencies. These are the best Bluetooth speakers I’ve ever heard in my life, and I’ve had a lot of high-end audio! Two are so much better! I can remove these from the stands and take them wherever I want to go, what fun! Update 2026 Updated the app in 2025 and now both will not turn on, and won’t turn on with the app either! Deleted the app and reinstalled it a dozen times. Reset the 2 to factory default and reprogram them a dozen times. Deleted them from my iPhone Pro Max, a dozen times reprogrammed and still not working. To get them to come on you have to play with the app over and over and turn the speaker on over and over to get it to stay on! It’s such a pain I don’t use them anymore! Beware of the app. But you need it to make them work! Very expensive improperly working speakers. They need to hire a new app people!!!

I purchased several Bluetooth speakers that were rated very good or great... but when I got em’ my opinion was quite different…they did not deliver and they definitely did not impress me… wasted money and time…Let’s face it a speaker is an engine that moves air. Size does matter. This speaker is an example of proper proportions and no wasted space… it should not be smaller.. also batteries need space…considering all of that… this is as big as needs to be…. no compromise = great sound and battery life. I really know this sounds great you’ll have to take my word for it. Yea it costs a bit but worth it..I will admit I am kind of a show off… after hearing everyone else’s Bluetooth speaker… I can’t wait for them to hear mine :)
