Excellent product, I bought one each for my 2 cedar picket gates, and these latches are great, solid, easy to mount, and easy to use.

This is a great deal! I purchased the same things at a hardware store for over $30. I really like the functionality of this lock better. It’s easy to install and should fit most fences. I ordered this because the winter caused my fence to contract and the bar wouldn’t latch anymore. This is perfect.

Latches worked great but install instructions are very vague and not really helpful. The screws are trash. just buy some good black screws beforehand. I pre-drilled holes and still stripped three of the four I tries to install. After that I just used some I already had.l Mine came with something called a gravity latch that was not explained at all I called Nuvo and the the person on the phone did not know what it was either. Finally found someone that said he knew what it was but since I was in North Carolina I did not need this. That was the only explanation I got. Beyond that I like them and would buy more. I would give them 5 stars but for the screws and poor instructions.

We spent a considerable amount on a new deck including a gate to keep the grandbabies and the dogs on the deck. The problem was the wood on the gate adjust over a little bit of time and the standard 4" latch bar was no longer long enough to latch the gate. We bought this latch (even though we only needed the bar) system and replaced the whole thing on our gate. It is awesome having the extra length for the gap and the spring mechanism is great also. Very very satisfied with this purchase.

This is a killer product with my only beef being the instructions are too minimal. I could not figure out the cable but they also included a cord to route through the gate post so I used that. I love that the latch has a hidden spring so you do not have to rely on gravity to close the latch. The generous long bar will force open the latch and it then the spring brings it down & home. 6" bars are nonexistent in the stores so I was thrilled to find it and have it be a high quality unit. I needed to pre-drill the holes because all screws nowadays will strip out unless you have very soft wood. I am happy I ordered two, one for my neighbors' gate (helping out the elderly sisters) and one for my stash in the garage. I will wait until my old gate latch dies and then install this winner. I would really like for them to provide an online instruction video for the cable system though. I am a retired navy computer tech and even I was confused...

Used on outdoor gate that shifts depending on the weather. The ability to account for both vertical and horizontal movement fixes that problem. One issue is the screws. Would have been better if Philips type screws were provided instead.

I was getting tired of my wife nagging me about the side gate being left open, turns out the latch wasn't staying closed. Bought this and installed it in about 5 minutes. Works great, spring loaded to keep the latch closed, wish I would have purchased long long ago. Oh well, lesson learned.

The latch pin broke after a year. For frequent gate use, do not buy this product. You have to buy a whole new kit when the pin breaks. Never again.

Lasted 2 weeks on gate . Contact seller replied with its out of 30 day so cant help !!! It took 3 weeks to arrive . Absolutely livid with roy response from customer service.

The nicest feature is the spring loaded latch. It returns to 'ready' position consistently. Easy to install. It has a nice wire release permanently attached to the latch to facilitate latch release from outside the gate. Quality components should last a long time. I replaced a cheaper version of the same type of latch. Recommended.

You cannot find this in stores, I looked in all the major stores. I needed an extra long bolt because I widened the space between the post and gate edge. I measured the bolt and it is 5 1/2 inches long-not the 6 inches noted in the advertisement diagram. This length was adequate for my job. This latch is easy to install, very good quality. Under normal use or even extreme weather conditions, I cannot see the bolt breaking. The one review that showed a picture of a broken bolt should be discounted--When you see the size and quality of the bolt, you will understand.

Works well

You wont find a latch like this at a big box store at twice the price. It is very heavy duty, flexible for installation because of the long latch rod plus they even give you a floating latch plate as well as cable release. Can’t imagine actually reviewing a gate latch but this one is so well made and such high quality for a ridiculously good price that I could not resist.
